InSite Landscape Design

It's been a year since InSite Landscape designed and installed our garden and we are loving it. I wanted California friendly plants and an amazing bioswale and Jonathan really came through for us. His creativity and willingness to develop the concept I wanted put him well ahead of the other designers I spoke with. His follow up has been great - he was just here checking in last week!

Jonathan was the most knowledgeable, honest and dedicated landscape designer we've ever hired. His photography background lends to a keen eye for design and color, and his textbook knowledge of plants guarantees a design that incorporates the right plant for the right place. He brought our garden to life within days, delivering our full vision and a healthy garden unlike previous designers. His prices are more than fair, and the high quality of his work ensures not a penny wasted! Jonathan carefully listened to our needs (California natives to support local bird and insect populations) and delivered with a 100% hands-on approach from start to finish- he even picks out each plant himself at the nursery. He brought in a highly qualified installer as well, but continued his hands-on approach by overseeing the installer's work (our last 3 designers never stuck around to manage the install- and many mistakes were made. They then argued with our grievances...very unprofessional). We will never work with anyone else!

We worked with Jonathan for nearly a year on our drought resistant garden. He was an amazing designer with wonderful and thoughtful ideas about combining native plants with the ones already in our garden. His designs were creative, cost effective and environmentally conscious. He was easy to work with and often returned to check on our front and back gardens long after his work was done.

Jonathan has done outstanding work at our home over the past two years. He designed a brand new garden in our front yard following a hardscape project that completely transformed the appearance of our home from the street. Jonathan also assisted in improving our backyard which had been redone several years agony another landscaper but was in need of some replanting and significant maintenance. We are very pleased with the look that we have now achieved in our front and backyards and would highly recommend Insite to others in the market for landscape design services.

We wanted a meadow garden and so I went to the nursery to research grasses and bumped into to Jonathan Harnish (InSite Landscape) who was incredibly knowledgeable and enthusiastic about them and seemed to be the perfect designer to take on our project. After sharing researched images and much discussion, Jonathan developed a concept for our yard and chose a terrific grouping of plants to fulfill that vision. He is extremely knowledgeable about all plants, grasses and trees. He listened to our request for limited color and plant palettes, and for a low water garden. He spent a lot of time studying the property from various angles and distances to make the concept work from as many views as possible. He took the time to walk us through the plans and the process and brought in a very competent team to make the vision a reality. We are a couple years past first planting and the garden has the lushness and naturalness we wanted to achieve and we are very much enjoying our garden along with lots butterflies, birds and bees!

We are selling our house and I am finally getting around to writing a glowing review for InSite Landscape Design. Through his creative design vision and technical expertise, Jonathan developed a plan to transform a once scraggly dirt patch into a complete oasis. The landscape has added substantial financial value to our home, and we have really enjoyed the space for the past few years. We love to entertain and spend afternoons and evenings outside with our son and dog, and the setting couldn't be more beautiful. Thank you Jonathan!

I am thrilled to be able to review Insite Landscaping. I worked with Jonathan of Insite for my front and back yards. He is extremely easy to work with. He has a great eye and really listened to what I wanted. The gardens are gorgeous. They are just what I wanted. He really cares about doing a good job and is very reliable.

A number of areas of our gardens needed updating. Jonathan provided everything we could have hoped for: a fresh eye and design, an appreciation of our mature plants and a perfect integration into our previous design aesthetic. We are about to embark on a very large renovation covering several areas of our property and hope to bring Jonathan back to breathe life back into our somewhat aging gardens.
