I ordered the evoline port product, but found out it was too deep to use in my kitchen. I spent 588 dollars but was only refunded 426 dollars, the reason being that a customer rep said was "company policy". She then proceeded to read the policy to me. I asked if anything could be done, as 162 dollars in an incredibly painful punishment for being a few days past their 2 week deadline, and Julia told me she would "send it for review". After all, the product was never used and was returned in the exact same packaging, in perfect shape. Because the website ordering system failed to work when I tried to enter a credit card I was sent a paypal form to fill out. Later I find out that this merchant does not have an account with American Express. Julia is the actual owner, customer service rep, restocking clerk and policy maker. The restocking fee of 162 dollars isn't based on the expenses she quoted, as she does not have employees, a warehouse, a business office or any of the other things a large corporation has, and which, by the way, would make a 20% restocking fee somewhat appropriate. Another problem: the website failed to work when I tried to order the product. Julia was dishonest regarding why my credit card payment would not work. Bottom Line: if you can't trust a businesses portrayal of itself you can't trust them to stand behind their product either. I'm glad I unloaded the Evoline Ports. Its worth 162 dollars to warn potential clients.
