I am a big fan of MaryLynne. We have been working with her for six years now. What I like most about her is that she is a very good listener and she "gets" us. What I mean by that is that she's not trying to impose her style but is working with "our" style. Another strong point is that her designs age well. We have been very pleased with everything she has done for us and like everything as much now as the first day we got them."

My husband and I have had the pleasure of working with MaryLynne Meschino of Allegro Interiors over the past eighteen months as we have designed, renovated, and decorated our first home. Since we wanted to be involved in all aspects of the project, we were looking to work collaboratively with someone who understood our taste and preferences, and could translate our ideas into realities. MaryLynne is particularly skilled at adopting her clients’ unique sense of style, rather than imposing her own taste or replicating trends from one client to the next. With careful consideration, MaryLynne has incorporated the use of many colours, a variety of printed fabrics and wallpapers, and textured materials such as exposed brick and a tin ceiling into our home. Although our home contains many unique elements, MaryLynne has prevented the overall look from becoming too busy, and was attuned to important design elements such as balance and harmony throughout the process. Other strengths include MaryLynne’s ability to reuse or repurpose existing pieces of furniture or household items. Several pieces in our home have been repainted or reupholstered to better suit our current preferences, and we enjoyed the process of designing these pieces with MaryLynne’s guidance. Additionally, MaryLynne has a great eye for spotting interesting objects from consignment shops. Thanks to her, our home contains a vintage light fixture, bathroom sink, and two Louis XV chairs that suit the space perfectly. Finally, we have been most impressed with MaryLynne’s interpersonal style. She is warm, energetic, and fun to work with. She has excellent relationships with all the tradespeople in her network. When things have not gone as planned, MaryLynne has advocated for us and helped us resolve issues in a timely and efficient manner. I would highly recommend hiring MaryLynne to help you with a creative project of any size!
