Let me start by saving that I love my kitchen, it is beautiful, but it has been a ROYAL pain to get it done. My kitchen was started on July 29, 2018 and today is November 19, 2018 and IT IS STILL NOT FINISHED!!! I have stayed on top of Platinum Kitchens, to no avail. Granted all that is left now is punch list items, but you are told your kitchen will take 4-6 weeks and that is just not the truth. My kitchen was completely unusable for 6 weeks - during that time I was lucky if they came to work on my kitchen once per week. I did not have an elaborate remodel, no movement of any major lines. We only had one hiccup with a pipe and that was found on Day 1 (not PKD's fault - we didn't know where the pipe was until they took down the cabinetry). We are at the 20 week mark and I am still having to think about staying on top of PKD for my kitchen. While I love my kitchen, I would not use them again because I just don't have time in my schedule to deal with a company that obviously doesn't care about their clients.

We would like to thank Michael and the awesome team at PKD for a great kitchen remodel experience. From Michael and Sam’s design ideas to Jennifer Love’s selection help and most importantly Adam and Kevin’s great project management, everything was a success. We love our new kitchen and can’t believe how smoothly everything went. Highly recommend!

Platinum Kitchens & Design Inc. were simply outstanding. From start to finish they were kind, generous, professional, helpful, fun, patient, and trustworthy. Jen kept the kept the design process fun and was very knowledgeable and skilled at helping us find the perfect way to incorporate our house’s 100-year-old heritage into a classic, functional, fun, space with all the modern conveniences of a brand-new house. Adam was an absolute all-star. He was always on-point, had great attention to detail, outstanding customer service, and wasn’t afraid to get his hands dirty. The kitchen remodel process can be stressful with a lot of unexpected surprises (especially in an old house!), regardless of what we encountered, Adam assured me it was no problem at all and that they’d take care of it--and they did. Despite the numerous other clients he was working with, Adam had a way of making you feel like you’re his only--or at least his most important client. Mike was fantastic. He provided great leadership for his company and clients, is passionate about providing people with beautiful, functional spaces to live their lives in, and he’s just plain fun (he’s a fellow Star Wars fan too so that’s a bonus). They made the kitchen of my dreams a reality. It was an absolute pleasure working with Platinum Kitchens & Design Inc. I simply can’t recommend them enough!

I am only giving them 1 star because I can't post the review without that. We engaged PKD to renovate our kitchen and it was a nightmare that got to the point of me terminating PKD on what would have been week 7, day 2 of our project. We met with them 3 times to hit the "reset" button, with each time getting worse. The debris from the demo stayed on the side of our house for 5 weeks before they moved it (after us repeatedly asking them to get rid of it) I am only allowed a certain number of characters on this website but I will say that I had certified licensed electricians and plumbers tell me that some of their work was not up to code and had to be re-done. I asked to meet with Michael and Leslie Karp 3 times and not once did they contact me back as this project went sideways. Their workers showed absolutely no respect for our property. I will end with this - the morning after I terminated PKD, I walked out to my shed in my back yard and found my dogs sniffing something. PKD workers had dumped their grout/debris from floor beside my shed. If anyone wants more details, please contact me.

We absolutely LOVE our kitchen. The entire process was easy and efficient. We first met with Stacy. She was extremely knowledgeable, patient and helpful. JJ was our designer. She knew exactly what I wanted and steered us in our selections. The results are gorgeous! Juan and his crew spent several weeks at our home. They are so mannerly, polite, quick and thorough. It's obvious they have worked together for some time. I would highly recommend requesting Juan! We are very happy we chose Platinum Kitchens. Highly recommend!

My husband and I are very happy with the way our kitchen turned out. Love the kitchen and was very pleased with the entire process. I had thought about going with another remodeling company, but decided on Platinum Kitchens and was glad I went with them. I had a budget that I really wanted to stick with and Mike and our designer, Jennifer, helped us stay within it. We had an issue where a cabinet and cabinet face had to be reordered. This pushed the completion date by a few weeks, but did not feel inconvenienced because we were still able to use the kitchen. Luis and his team did a great job building it out. Outstanding customer service by all.

Platinum Kitchens did a great job for us on our recent kitchen renovation. We've moved around the country 11 times over the past 28 years and have done our fair share of home renovations - some good, some terrible, most were just okay. Platinum Kitchens provided an above and beyond GREAT experience for us and we could not be more pleased with our new kitchen. Since the job completion in May we've hosted two graduation parties, a wedding reception, one baby shower & a recent 4th of July BBQ. We've received many compliments on how beautiful it turned out and we're proud to have a space where we can comfortably entertain our closest friends and family. We're overall pleased with the design and have to mention the incredible crew of guys who were assigned to the project - they were skilled, friendly, and respectful of our home. A large project is not without a few hiccups - PKD was able to manage the few issues we had arise in a timely manner without playing "the blame game". All in all, our new kitchen was finished within the expected time frame and budget. After living through quite a few in-home renovations, we consider the project a true success!

My wife and I did a lot of research before choosing a kitchen company to renovate our kitchen. We had trouble actually getting a company to come out to our house and give us a bid. We had heard the Platinum Kitchen's advertisement on the radio and my wife called. A few days later, we had a designer come to our house for a consultation. The Platinum Process was easy and Juan and his crew were an absolute God send for us. He put out minds at ease on his first visit and we were confidant that everything would be handled with professionalism and care. His crew did a great job and we love our new kitchen. Not only does Juan know the technical end of his job but he was very insightful and offered his opinions and experience in guiding us through the process and helping to select items that were not considered prior to the start of the project. Going with the wood floor was a great idea and the smooth ceiling and lights were definitely an option we had not considered when we started the project, but the change order process was pretty easy and we approved the additions to the scope of work. Juan is truly a great representative for your company. As I said, we love the finished product!

My kitchen was scheduled to be completed in 4 - 6 weeks: It took 3 months. Mainly because there were days where nobody showed up (even 5 days in a row) and I was rarely notified when or if they come. I feel that PK is growing to a size where their management (field supervisor, project coordinator (Elizabeth) and office leadership) cannot handle it any more. Or it might simply be more important to PK to start new jobs and get the 50 % down payment before finishing the existing jobs in a timely manner. the workers do an excellent job (Francesco, Bruno, Nelson, etc.) but the coordinators do not coordinate, they put the blame on others and even on the customer. They always had excuses for everything. I had many arguments, conflicts, discussions etc. with the coordinators and got emotional upset several times. Even Leslie, the owner was rude and made excuses. Warning: Make sure you don't have any "add-ons" or changes because that is where they get you... Julie Townsend is a gem for the company. She listened to my needs and designed the kitchen exactly how I wanted it. She was very helpful during the whole process. Without her I would stopped this project during construction. The cabinets are beautiful, the workman ship was very good and the kitchen looks great - after 3 months. The managers/coordinators have to change their attitude and learn to put the customers first, to be fair and respectful - and not to argue with their customers!

I hired PKD to completely remodel my very small kitchen. The job was expected to take 6-8 weeks but ended up at 3-4 months. There were many quality issues that I do not feel would have been taken care of unless I continued to hound them with phone calls and e-mails. The tile back splash was installed twice (it is still not good, but better than the first time), the walls were painted twice, there were plumbing issues, electrical issues and cabinet issues - none of which were brought up by the contractor. I do think that Mike Karp (the owner) cares about doing a quality job, but I think the company has grown to the point where they can no longer manage the contractors to ensure a quality product. I was very disappointed in the quality and timeliness of this job.

We met with 4 different companies about our major kitchen renovation. Although price was very important, our main objective was who could come up with the best design and then deliver on that. Michelle and her team absolutely blew us away with their ideas and design presentation. She exceeded our expectations on the design aspect. The key was then if the crews could continue with that and deliver on that design. And, they did. The entire process was excellent. They teams we worked with were great! Michelle, Tina, Juan, Elizabeth & all their crew! They absolutely exceeded our expectations and they are highly recommended.
