Lee Lechner responded to my request for a quote on replacing the old, cracked concrete of our driveway and walkway with pavers. He came at the time we set, surveyed the situation carefully and asked me for details of what we wanted. I gathered three cost estimates that all came to within a couple perCent of each other so I chose Preferred based on Lee’s more professional and competent approach. The crew of three appeared with the heavy equipment and dumpster needed for tearing up the existing concrete. Jason, who operated the Bobcat with a delicate touch, tore up the driveway without damaging the irrigation pipes that ran underneath. Jason, along with Valdiaze and Martin finished removing the driveway and then, by hand, took care of the walkway. They then proceeded to prepare the area and place each of the ≈ 1100 sq ft of pavers by hand, cutting many of them to carefully match the curves of the walkway and the borders of the driveway.The three of them were not only extremely competent and friendly but took time to answer all our questions and suggest ideas on how even minor considerations could make the drive-and-walkway renovation appear the best. Lee monitored the entire job and when we were not satisfied with the sealer applied to the pavers at the end, he found a different sealer that gave us the appearance we wanted. We were *extremely* pleased with the entire process from start to finish.

When it was time to upgrade our home in Port Charlotte, I spent several months meeting with 7 paver installers. Trudi, from Preferred Pavers & Concrete impressed me with her broad knowledge of all 3 projects 1 wanted, replace concrete driveway and front walk, remodel pavers for our pool area and a new patio with walls and a fire pit. The fact that they are nationally certified clinched the deal! I could not be more pleased with the results. Their attention to detail is beyond compare. I witnessed , Jose, one of their men fit 3 different pool coping pavers in 1 spot until he was satisfied with the fit and color. I give them 5 stars!
