About Us

Paula McDougall retired from a successful advertising career to pursue her passion for staging and home interior design. She brings to her new company, Stoney Rose Designs, a design background from Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising (FIDM), BS in Management from Saint Mary's College as well as styling and staging experience working with local realtors and friends in the East Bay since 2014. Paula's unique skill to evaluate each home's individual style and incorporate design ideas that appeal to home buyers in today's market has resulted in above average home sales. I would highly recommend Paula for house staging. She met with us before staging to advise us on what furniture to keep/remove. She also helped us with the improvements we had to make before the sale like picking out light fixtures, paint color, etc. On the day of staging she worked so hard to leave it looking perfect for the photos. Our open house was scheduled for a Sunday and by Tuesday we had 4 offers. Our house went pending on Thursday. I am positive that Paula's staging helped our house sell so fast. There were 2 other houses for sale around the corner from us and those remained on the market for another month. I enjoyed working with Paula and would definitely work with her again. She is extremely professional, friendly and very talented.

Paula will make your place look so great that you may not want to sell it! We removed personal items and some of the existing furniture. Then she added her touch by bringing some pieces that were a perfect blend with mine. With Paula's help, I did not have to spend a lot of time and money fixing and replacing. The focus was on placement. It looked amazing and, best of all... it sold in ONE day with multiple offers! She is the best!
