I had researched almost every landscape company in Ottawa and met with several contractors to price out a backyard patio. I met with Tim who is the president of The Stone Co. and immediately felt very confident with his expertise. This was not an easy project by any means...we had very limited access to the backyard as it was fully enclosed by fencing. The only way to access our backyard was through the garage. The entire patio (11x16) and walkway had to be hand dug! Tim and his crew worked non stop for 2 days. We are absolutely thrilled and beyond appreciative to have hired The Stone Co. for our backyard project in Barrhaven. Tim was very accommodating with what we had envisioned for our backyard and offered some amazing suggestions that we hadn't even thought of. We HIGHLY recommend The Stone Co. -they are tremendously experienced professionals that went above and beyond our expectations. We can't wait to start enjoying our new backyard oasis :)

Our family room was in need of an update. We chose THE STONE CO to replace our fireplace surround with a stone veneer from floor to ceiling and to mount a TV and soundbar. Tim and Adam at THE STONE CO were very professional and helpful with advising us on the many different options available - and helping us select the right stone for our needs. All project details were set out clearly, and all questions were answered before work began. The work site was kept very tidy and cleaned after the project was complete. We are extremely happy with the outcome and would definitely recommend THE STONE CO to others.

We were very pleased with our decision to hire the Stone Co Inc. to complete our renovations. Tim (the president) was referred to us by an industry vendor who highly recommended that we hire The Stone Co for any stone work we needed done. Before we started we looked at numerous stone veneer homes and knew that if the product was applied incorrectly it looked terrible. The job was a huge investment for us and we wanted to make sure that it was done right and fit the budget and timeline we had projected. We interviewed quite a few different companies and contractors before making a decision. Being that we own an older home it required some creative prep work before the stone could be applied. All of the other masons and contractors we interviewed either got a glazed look in their eyes when we pointed out the challenges or told us we would have to first hire a carpenter to fix the issues. As soon as we spoke with Tim we knew we had the right person for the job. He had answers for all our concerns and it was clear that his experience with the product as well as his background in carpentry was the perfect fit. You could also tell he shared our excitement about the project and was very passionate about his work. We knew we made a good decision instantly, before the project started we had an issue with one of the vendors concerning the delivery of product, we mentioned it to Tim and he stepped up and arranged for an alternate company to deliver on time, and even paid upfront for the cost out of his own pocket so it would not be delayed. Tim and his crew were always a pleasure to deal with, the quality of their work was great but it was all the little extras that stood out for us, inspecting their work and making changes if something did not look quite right, putting stones with unique crystals near the doorbell, cleaning up the jobsite each night before they left and finding creative solutions to any issues that came up. Many of the tasks performed went well beyond the scope of what they were paid to do. Before they applied the stone any problems that were noticed with the house were fixed. This including fixing attic ventilation issues, replacing rotten wood, adding insulation, even spraying ant killer inside a wall when it was noticed there was an issue. They even repainted the exhaust vents at the front of the house so the whole exterior of the home would look updated and compliment the stone. You could tell that Tim and his crew are honest and they take great pride in their work. The transformation of our home is quite amazing, we have had numerous compliments, even from strangers just walking by, and one person even thought it was a newly built home! We are so happy with the way it turned out, we feel lucky to now own such a beautiful home. Tim Brown answered all of our questions in a timely manner and also installed a sweet custom stone fireplace surround. Tim took his time in perfecting and ensuring that we got exactly what we wanted.
