Trout Lily Garden Design

Lynn Becker of Trout Lily Garden Designs exceeded our expectations and designed and planted a fabulous pollinator garden for us. We wanted to eliminate the grass and the overgrown traditional foundation plantings in front of our house and she replaced them with beautiful native plants including perennial flowers and wild grasses. We are very happy with the outcome and look forward to seeing the many blooms next spring through the fall, and the butterflies and pollinators the flowers will attract. Lynne was very knowledgeable, a pleasure to work with and we plan on doing more projects with her in the future..

Working with Lynn has been a joy. Her creativity and encyclopedic knowledge of horticulture are invaluable, and she treats my garden like her own while always listening to my ideas and staying true to my vision. She treated my project like it was her top priority, and to say it turned out even better than expected is an understatement. Lynn happily worked with my existing landscaper to reimagine and install an entirely new garden on an overgrow hillside that involved multiple suppliers of plants and hardscaping. She was meticulous in her creative process of designing the space, all the while prioritizing native and pollinator-friendly plants. Talking with her about gardens is like being in a fun class with your favorite teacher, and her enthusiasm for gardening is infectious. I look forward to continue working with her, and I would recommend Trout Lily to anyone looking to make something beautiful in their outdoor space, whether they are a plant novice or an experienced gardener. Working with Lynn on our entry garden project was an absolute joy: she was able to unpack my vision into a stunning, unusual garden. Her knowledge of the plant world is encyclopedic and although she enthusiastically promotes the use of native plants, she is not fanatical about it. We ended up with not only a show stopper of a front garden but also three areas of charming pollinator spaces. Her hardscape and landscape crews were professional and timely in their execution of our project. I recommend Lynn wholeheartedly - we also had fun and I learned a great deal!

Lynn did an exquisite job with our backyard and front yard and the side of our sunroom after a force of nature fell a tree onto our house - those areas were pretty much wiped out. She has a great overall understanding of a huge variety of plants and a wonderful sense of design. She listened carefully to our needs and wants and style preferences. Her expertise with shade plants was a godsend to us as our property is very shaded so she did not allow us to go forward with a plan of all kinds of flowers we had on our minds that would not have worked on our property. The end result was incredibly pleasing to the eye and sensible for our property. We could never have thought out the solutions on our own. Lynn and her crew came and installed everything in one day, So it was truly effortless for us. Many in my neighborhood are starting to use her services based on the end results they are seeing. Lynn did a great job with the fence plantings around our pool area. She was a great listener and was always about managing/meeting our expectations. She definitely did that and it was a real pleasure working with her. She provided a workable budget and stayed within it. She was very responsive to all of our questions and requests. Can't wait for the Spring to see the plantings in full bloom. Will definitely work with her again for more areas of our house. You will be very happy working with Lynn too.
