It was disappointing and frustrating to read this review because it reflects only part of the story. It is true that the client sent me a picture of the vanity/wall unit she liked. I did a scale drawing based on the proposed 10 foot wall and her picture. My work partner, a friend of the client, brought the drawing to her. It turned out that the wall had to be shortened to 8 feet for the bathroom entrance to work. They then redesigned the wall cabinets, while the vanity stayed the same. The upper wall space now consisted of two cabinets with mirrored doors, a framed mirror between them and crown molding at the top. It was also decided to change the materials to natural cherry as opposed to paint. We built the units to the approved design. Once the vanity and cabinets were installed, I received an e-mail stating that the cabinets were not what she had pictured. I offered an alternative design which included wall mirrors with a cabinet between them. I received no reply to this suggestion. It is apparent that the client did not understand the new design she had approved even with a written description as well as a scale drawing. As a custom cabinet maker it is my responsibility to work out a design with the client and build to that approved design. I fulfilled that responsibility. In my 35+ tears as a cabinet maker I have never experienced a client responding in this way.
