- This beautifully presented hand burnished natural finish double ended cast iron tub offers an insight into the production of a classic double ended tub. The exterior of the tub shows all the production marks including the graphite lines formed during the 'chill' process of molding. Thin narrow lines up to one millimeter deep crisscross the tub surface which itself is between seven to 9 millimeter thick. The heavy Imperial claw feet and tub drain with overflow complete the Chesterton. (tub filler is not included)
After the burnishing process is complete, the surface is given four coats of high grade clear lacquer to seal the metal and prevent any oxidation from occurring. The surface is very simple to maintain and clean, just a simple wipe with a dry cloth. The interior of the tub is hand applied enamel. As a result, slight undulations will appear on the surface and this will add to the individual character of every Penhaglion Hand Finished bathtub.
Please Note: Driver will bring crated tub from truck via lift-gate to street level at curbside. You are responsible for making arrangements to have item(s) brought into your home, garage, etc. Lift-gate service is included on our tubs. The truck driver will not bring the tub into your home.
