Free Shipping
Size: 17.25 Inches Tall x 32 Inches Wide x 17 Inches Deep - Limited Edition of 750 units - Genuine Lladro Fine Porcelain - Lladro Assurance Program Registration Forms Included - Handmade in Valencia Spain - Wood Base Included - Halfway between a goddess and a mythological being, this creation borrows its inspiration from classical culture to present us with a depiction of woman which is as beautiful as it is powerful. With a combination of sensuality and mysticism, this Winged Beauty speaks to the special place in Antiquity set aside for magic and freedom, the feminine principles of exaltation of life that served as a source of inspiration for art. - Lladro Winged Beauty 01001956 is the fruit of the imagination of Lladro artists, especially worth underscoring is the decorative work on the wings. The sensuality of the gestures and the semi-nude body of the woman, the smooth milky white skin, contrast with the profuse ornamentation of the wings and the wealth of the jewelry. A winning combination of the purity of the nude and the decorative abundance proper to the best pieces in Lladro High Porcelain. - A variety of different techniques were used on the Lladro Winged Beauty 01001956, ranging from the application of enamels in differing tones of green, blue and ocher, to the use of colored varnishes and metal luster. To round off this whole play of tones and ranges of color, gilded effects were also added by means of aged golden luster on the convoluted elements coming out of the wings, further enhancing the sense of nobility and solemnity the figurine inspires. - As far as the actual colors used, the artists at the High Porcelain Workshop developed and created a luster with a mother-of-pearl effect. A new tone in the Lladro palette, it was used for the first time in this piece. Applied on the crown and the earrings, it adds to the overall wealth of this sculpture. - Similarly to the ornamentation, the spectrum of color of the wings is inspired by the majestic opulence of a peacock's feathering, a creature attributed with many meanings throughout the centuries, and it was thought to be an embodiment of good luck, harmony, serenity and inner peace. - Finally, also worth underscoring is the symmetry of the Lladro High Porcelain Winged Beauty 01001956, enabling the decorative work to be equally appreciated from either of its two faces. Furthermore, the base, made specifically for this piece, helps to enhance the presence of the figurine which, when displayed as a pair, is ideal for standing guard at the entrance to a room. - Ships From Inside The United Stated - No International Duty Or Import Tax Due Upon Delivery

Lladro Saint George And The Dragon Figurine 01001975by Lladro
$27,360
Free Shipping
Size: 25.5 Inches Tall x 27.5 Inches Wide x 24.8 Inches Deep - Lladro Figurines Item Number: 01001975 - A medieval legend tells the story of the city of Silene in present-day Libya which was terrorized by a ferocious dragon that wreaked havoc and fear upon the population. To appease the dragon, the people offered it a human sacrifice every day, chosen by lottery. One day, as ill luck would have it, the king's daughter was picked. However, on her way to her destined fate, a gallant knight who happened to be passing by volunteered to protect her. George waged a bitter struggle with the fierce creature until he finally managed to pierce it in the chest with his lance. A beautiful rosebush blossomed from the dragon's blood and the knight gave it to the princess. - Saint George And The DragonStatue 01001975 is Lladro's interpretation in porcelain of the legendary episode. This sculpture is part of a Limited Edition of 350 pieces made in High Porcelain, the brand's maximum artistic category. In these creations, Lladro puts all its potential at the service of creativity, without restrictions in deadlines or technical limitations, paying them the painstaking attention to detail that goes into great works of art. - Artistically speaking, worth underscoring is the wealth of enamels, with around twenty different tones applied on the dragon and a variety of textures that accentuates the modeling and affords the mythical beast greater volume. On the contrary, the depiction of the knight is given a softer treatment, tempered by the clear skin and the classically handsome features. The contrast is further enhanced by the white of the knight's faithful steed, a symbol of the nobility, bravery and loyalty necessary to conquer evil. - One should also bear in mind the technical complexity involved in balancing such a dynamic creation, with the dragon in a contorted posture and the knight and his horse rising in the heat of the battle. The composition calls for the model to be fragmented into a large number of parts before being subsequently reconstructed, as well as particularly elaborate processes of decoration and firing. - The Lladro Saint George And The Dragon Figurine 01001975 is rounded off by a base in keeping with the grandiosity of a piece that speaks to us of the eternal struggle between good and evil, construction and destruction, cosmos and chaos, that lies at the very heart of the legend from which it takes its inspiration. - Ships From Inside The United Stated - No International Duty Or Import Tax Due Upon Delivery

He looks back at her with a tender gaze which contrasts with the serious expression of the driver, discreet and dapper in his top hat. - Like all High Porcelain creations, the Lladro Bridal Carriage Statue 01001932 is also a creative display, successfully meeting a challenge that puts the skills and experience of the best Lladro artists to the test. One of the greatest achievements in this sculpture is to have been supported by itself, in other words, without the buttocks (support sticks) or the porcelain base on which a work of this kind usually needs to rest. This requires a highly precise assemblage of all the pieces in order to guarantee the perfect balance, making it a tangible expression of skill and technical prowess. - Decoratively speaking, it is an extraordinarily rich work with an infinity of details. The bride's dress with its pleats, the lace on the bodice and the embroidery on the skirt, provides excellent examples of the filigrees Lladro artists are capable of producing. Equally of note are the garlands on the carriage, the bride's bouquet and the flowers in her veil. The piece comes with a dark wooden pedestal highlighting the brightness of this lightcolored piece. - The Lladro Bridal Carriage Sculpture 01001932 is a version of the late 19th century open-top Victoria. Everything about this elegant carriage is faithfully reproduced: the metal elements of the rims and wheels, the stitching on the sack, the blanket at the driver's feet, the border of the trunk, the horse's bridle, painted with enamels in three colors (red, blue and aged leather tones). The horse's coat is also worked with different enamels to successfully render all its various nuances. Hour after hour of painstaking work went into making this creation a work of art worthy of a truly unforgettable day. - Ships From Inside The United Stated - No International Duty Or Import Tax Due Upon Delivery

Lladro borrowed its inspiration from the equestrian sculptures of the Tang dynasty (618 - 907), the golden era of Chinese art, to create this High Porcelain Oriental horse. A remodeling, on a smaller scale and with different finishes, of the Limited Edition with the same name launched in 1971, which was sold out in 1986. - The Lladro Oriental Horse Glazed Figurine 01001943conveys the meaning this animal held in China since ancient times: beauty, power and wealth. As in equestrian sculptures from the golden era, these pieces are depicted with great naturalism, achieved through meticulous attention to detail. The head, inclined in an elegant posture, shows off the bowed neck and prominent breast, conveying nobility and elegance. - The Lladro Oriental Horse Glazed Statue has been enhanced by the artists from the High Porcelain workshop with Lladro's broad palette of colors. In the glazed version, Oriental horse is particularly noteworthy for the colorful application of enamels, especially the green turquoise tones of the neck, specifically created for this work. A sculpture full of textures and chromatic effects ideal for lovers of classic porcelain and traditional glazed ceramic. - Decoratively speaking, the Lladro Oriental Horse Glazed Sculpture 01001943 is a profusely ornamented piece. The details of the horse blanket, inspired by the doublet of medieval knights, are a result of the influence of Western culture on the Tang dynasty. The pride with which this horse wears its tack makes this piece a symbol of exclusiveness. The artistic work and technical mastery of its sculptor are combined here to create a sculpture without the porcelain base on which pieces usually rest. Thanks to a perfect command of balance, a dynamic composition full of movement has been achieved with a horse resting only on three legs. - When admiring this majestic horse, it is hard not to agree with experts in oriental sculpture when they wisely claim that you don't have to read a book on Chinese art to love a Tang horse. - Ships From Inside The United Stated - No International Duty Or Import Tax Due Upon Delivery
