Chinese calligraphy print, hand scroll. Printed on high-quality rice paper using fade-resistant inks, with ultra-high resolution scanning and color reproducing system to ensure colors look the same as the original.
In the Cold Food Observance in the fourth lunar month of the third year (1082) of Su Dongpo's exile in Huangzhou (Hubei), he came to reflect the change of the seasons, his general weariness in life, and the frustrations of his career as an official, upon which he composed Two Poems on the Cold Food Observance in rain. On a later date, Su Dongpo transcribed a finalized version of the text as calligraphy onto this handscroll. He wrote the characters in a semi-cursive script, but it varies considerably in thickness, distance, and size. Characters that particularly stand out include nian (年) in the second line, zhong (中) in the fifth line, wei (葦) in the eleventh line, and zhi (紙) in the thirteenth line, in which their last vertical stroke trails down for some distance.

Apple Tree With Red Fruitby La Pastiche(5)
$219
Free Shipping
With its golden tones and pops of red, "Apple Tree With Red Fruit" clearly shows the influence of Japanese prints on Paul-Elie Ranson's work. This 19th century artist was part of a group called Les Nabis (The Prophets) who focused on the interactions of humans and the natural world. In this painting, Ranson's delicate treatment of the apple tree is contrasted by the bold colors, flat shapes and simplified landscape. This work will create an enchanting focal point in any room of your home. Because it has been carefully painted by hand, it evokes the same masterly technique employed in the original by Paul-Elie Ranson. Add "Apple Tree With Red Fruit" to your personal collection so you can enjoy a stunning masterpiece day in and day out.

Irises, Verona Cafe Frame 24"x36"by overstockArt(21)
$448
Free Shipping
Hand painted oil reproduction of a famous Van Gogh painting, Irises. The original masterpiece was created in 1889. Today it has been carefully recreated detail by detail, color by color to near perfection. Why settle for a print when you can add sophistication to your room with a beautiful fine gallery reproduction oil painting? Irises was one of the first paintings Van Gogh did while he was at the asylum at Saint-Remy in the last year before his death in 1890. This painting was influenced by Japanese prints, like many of his works. Theo, Van Gogh's brother loved the painting and commented: "[It] strikes the eye from afar. The Irises are a beautiful study full of air and life." Vincent Van Gogh's restless spirit and depressive mental state fired his artistic work with great joy and, sadly, equally great despair. Known as a prolific Post-Impressionist, he produced many paintings that were heavily biographical. This work of art has the same emotions and beauty as the original. Why not grace your home with this reproduced fine gallery Van Gogh masterpiece? It is sure to bring many admirers!
