D'Argenta's new method combined cold casting and electroforming to create intricate, finely detailed sculptures. The pieces are initially plated with a . 015 inch (400 micro) thick layer of copper, then plated with silver or (24K) gold at a thickness of . 001 inch (24 micro). Each sculpture's interior is composed of a polyester fiberglass core that strengthens sleek metal plating. After being formed, each piece is coated with a protective lacquer to prevents tarnishing and maintain luster. This final step ensures that all D'Argenta sculptures, though crafted with fine silver, do not require polish or any type of metal cleaner and can be simply dusted with a dry cloth as needed.
Exported around the world and now available in over 25 countries, D'Aragenta's products have won international acclaim because of their innovative construction and exquisite beauty. In 1981, D'Argenta was recognized with the Bulgarian Government Gold Medal award. In 1992, a D'Argenta sculpture was gifted to His Royal Highness Prince Naruhito of Japan on a visit to Mexico. $7,690

Size: 16.5 Inches Tall x 20 Inches Wide x 7 Inches Deep - Limited To 300 Pieces Worldwide - Genuine Lladro Fine Porcelain - Handmade in Valencia Spain - Lladro Assurance Program Registration Forms Included - Lladro Figurines Item Number: 01001980 - Quarter horses are said to be able to stop on a dime' from a full gallop. Lladro has instilled life into a beautiful specimen of this strong, powerful animal. One of the oldest American breeds and a good representation of the horses that accompanied the settlers in Virginia and the pioneers moving westwards, it would later became the fastest in quarter mile races. - The Lladro Quarter Horse Figurine 01001980, a limited series of 300 pieces, is a creation of the sculptor Ernest Massuet, a horse lover and a connoisseur of the equestrian world. Thanks to the brand's mastery and its long-standing tradition in the art of depicting horses key element in Lladro's workll the features of the quarter horse are captured to perfection: its well-proportioned head and neck, and its broad strong body. The horse's powerful muscles are enhanced by the glazed finish, decorated in a reddish color that reproduces the chestnut tone common to this bred. - Technically speaking, like in all the brand's creations featuring horses, one of the biggest challenges is to maintain the correct balance of the piece, supported on four legs, when passing through the kiln. In the firing process all Lladro pieces undergo a reduction in size of around 15%, due to water loss. Therefore, succeeding in keeping the right proportions of a piece of this kind is a great achievement. - Worth underscoring from an artistic viewpoint is the saddle, decorated in silver and gold tones using the complex luster technique that requires the mastery of Lladro's best artists. The saddle, the headsand the bridle are inspired by models from the 19th century, the time of maximum splendor for saddlemaking. A piece worthy of the admiration of horse lovers and collectors, very particularly of quarter horses, the breed with the highest number of followers in the world - Ships From Inside The United Stated - No International Duty Or Import Tax Due Upon Delivery

Size: 16.75 Inches Tall x 29.5 Inches Wide x 9.8 Inches Deep - Genuine Lladro Fine Porcelain - Handmade in Valencia Spain - Lladro Assurance Program Registration Forms Included - Lladro Figurines Item Number: 01001932 - Limited Edition 500 pieces - Lladro's creations are extraordinarily evocative. They recreate the sweetest and most intense feelings of our lives and suspend them in time and space thanks to the enduring beauty of porcelain. - The Lladro Bridal Carriage Figurine 01001932 is inspired by one of those very special moments that mark a before and after, and that change us forever. A newly wed couple parade their love in a horse-drawn carriage. Dressed in their elegant bridal clothes, she leans her head on his shoulder in a relaxed placid gesture after the much-awaited marriage. He looks back at her with a tender gaze which contrasts with the serious expression of the driver, discreet and dapper in his top hat. - Like all High Porcelain creations, the Lladro Bridal Carriage Statue 01001932 is also a creative display, successfully meeting a challenge that puts the skills and experience of the best Lladro artists to the test. One of the greatest achievements in this sculpture is to have been supported by itself, in other words, without the buttocks (support sticks) or the porcelain base on which a work of this kind usually needs to rest. This requires a highly precise assemblage of all the pieces in order to guarantee the perfect balance, making it a tangible expression of skill and technical prowess. - Decoratively speaking, it is an extraordinarily rich work with an infinity of details. The bride's dress with its pleats, the lace on the bodice and the embroidery on the skirt, provides excellent examples of the filigrees Lladro artists are capable of producing. Equally of note are the garlands on the carriage, the bride's bouquet and the flowers in her veil. The piece comes with a dark wooden pedestal highlighting the brightness of this lightcolored piece. - The Lladro Bridal Carriage Sculpture 01001932 is a version of the late 19th century open-top Victoria. Everything about this elegant carriage is faithfully reproduced: the metal elements of the rims and wheels, the stitching on the sack, the blanket at the driver's feet, the border of the trunk, the horse's bridle, painted with enamels in three colors (red, blue and aged leather tones). The horse's coat is also worked with different enamels to successfully render all its various nuances. Hour after hour of painstaking work went into making this creation a work of art worthy of a truly unforgettable day. - Ships From Inside The United Stated - No International Duty Or Import Tax Due Upon Delivery

From the surface detail of the innumerable tumuli and broad swells that impart the hides of the elephant collection to the graceful lines that capture the motion of a stallion's gallop, you will marvel at the beauty of your truly unique acquisition as it graces a special place in your home.
Historically, sculptures composed of precious metals were crafted using the traditional hot casting process. 25 years ago, the artisans at renowned metal art company D'Argenta introduced an advanced new metalworking technique that changed the way precious metals are sculpted.
A nod to the company's exclusive prestige, D'Argenta sculptures have been gifted to an increasingly long list of dignitaries, including Pope John Paul II, Prince Phillip of England, and his Majesty King Harald of Norway.

Internationally renowned American artist Mark Hopkins creates bronze sculptures that have thrilled collectors and casual art fans alike for more than two decades. Mark Hopkins' unique balance of organic inspiration and singular contemporary design has been called "bronze in motion" for its fluid look, which often appears to display natural beauty in defiance of gravity.
About Mark Hopkins
Mark Hopkins takes his inspiration for every facet of life on Earth, from the majesty of wildlife to mankind's interaction with nature, and produces limited-edition pieces that evoke a sense of awe and respect for the mysteries and loveliness of the world around us. Collectors of his work include Barbara Mandrell, Clint Eastwood, Bill Clinton, Colin Powell, George and Barbara Bush and a host of other luminaries and corporations including the National League Association of Baseball Club Owners, the Atlanta National Golf Club, Humana, Coca-Cola and others. Each Mark Hopkins sculpture is crafted with pride in the USA.
Captivated by form and design, Mark has personally created a signature style of vibrant vitality resulting from decades of study. Encouraged by parents and teachers from an early age, Mark's unique talent developed alongside his technical skills of sculpting and casting. As an artist, Mark is constantly challenging himself to render the rich beauty of life and the deep emotion of the human soul into flowing sculptural form, noting "I strive to express beyond the image, to catch spirit, to reveal deeper emotions, and to share joy. "
About the Production Process
From the artist's hand to the final polishing stages, many intricate steps go into the creation of a limited edition bronze sculpture. First the reproduction mold is made in which layers of silicone rubber and plaster are delicately applied to the original work. Then hot wax is poured into the reproduction mold to form an exact replica of the original sculpture.
When the wax replica is removed from the mold, it is then inspected and refined or "chased" by hand to remove any imperfections that may have occurred in the reproduction process. Next, ceramic cup and wax sprues, or gates, are added which later will help channel the molten bronze into the shell to create the sculpture.
The next step is creating the ceramic shell by alternately dipping the wax replica over a period of several days into a vat of liquid slurry, then a vat of silica crystals. The shell is then set to dry, and the process repeats until the shell has reached the appropriate thickness and strength.
The finished shell is placed in a high temperature oven that melts and removes the wax (the traditional "lost wax" method). The hardened or "fired" shell is secured, so the molten bronze can now be poured into the wax impression.
