In our continuing effort to be environmentally conscious and recycle (and also make more awesome projects), our team of talented artists came up with this fun filled idea to reuse wine barrel rings in a unique way.
To create the sconce, we hand shape the wine barrel rings by hand (you should see our forearms!) and carefully weld them into place. The design allows the passage of light through and makes a true design statement. Its rugged simplicity looks great with the bulb on or off.
The LOFT "Cordon" wall sconce is made from hand bent, recycled wine barrel rings. The character of these wine barrel rings is captivating; at quick glance, they're all quite similar, but when you look closely you start to see just how diverse they are, and how much they've been affected by their life holding a barrel together. Our team of talented artists decided to make a light that celebrates this variety of texture and dimension.
  • Its perfect for bathrooms, hallways, heck we even put some on large boats. Can be hung vertically or horizontally.

Handcrafted from retired Napa valley wine barrels and bottles in the heart of California wine country, our exquisite lighting collection will showcase your home or business with a rustic elegance unique to California wine culture.
The "Corba Classic" wall sconce is a joy to behold. This sconce is handcrafted using one of our "Copula" pendant lights (also sold separately) which is hand-shaped from retired Napa wine barrel rings. The wood backing is made entirely from beautiful oak wine barrel staves.
The character of these wine barrel rings is captivating; at quick glance, they're all quite similar, but when you look closely you start to see just how diverse they are, and how much they've been affected by their life holding a barrel together. Our team of talented artists decided to make a light that celebrates this variety of texture and dimension.
We dry the barrel staves for up to a year prior to sanding and sealing them with 3 coats of a clear UV sealer to protect them for decades of use. Combining the two elements together creates a timeless light that brings a touch of California wine country to any room.

  • This simple, handsome light made with retired Opus 1 Napa wine barrel rings wants to warm up your walls.
Modern and chic yet wonderfully rustic, each is handmade from recycled materials. We bend the wine barrel rings by hand (you should see our forearms!) and carefully weld it together to create a shape that reflects the light. Some have said this has a steam-punk vibe to it, but we prefer the term "timeless." Simple and serene, it looks great on or off.
  • We created this line of lighting to meet the demands of interior designers who asked for unique upcycled products with fun modern/industrial flavors.
This "Cenefa" light is meant to highlight the simple lines of the steel and the Edison bulb. Retired wine barrel rings are welded to a recycled steel backplate to create a beautiful, simple design that wont detract from the overall space.
The back plate is recycled steel and has a metal UL plate for the electrical box connection and small front screws for attachment giving the effect that it's floating on the wall -- truly delightful!

The "Elysian" is a wall light that transforms its raw materials into a soft, romantic light fixture. Handcrafted from retired Napa wine barrels in the heart of California wine country, our exquisite lighting collection showcases rustic elegance unique to California wine culture. This line was developed and designed after quite a bit of thought (and a lot of brandy!!) to offer a whole new undiscovered line of lighting and art to highlight the beauty of the wine barrel.
For the "Kurvet" we cut the wine barrel staves down to make the elegant frames then space them apart so there is plenty of light coming out all sides. For the front screen we carefully cut wine barrel rings down into strip and using a very special technique, bend them into waves (took 2 years to figure that out!) before welding them together into a screen that fits inside the frame to diffuse the light. Puts out tons of light!
  • The front has a removable screen accessed by a couple of acorn nuts and takes seconds to remove and replace.
  • Can be hung horizontally or vertically

Beautiful and elegant, it highlights the dark red wine color and the depth of the outer barrel with all its character. Securely bolted together and covered in 3 layers of a clear UV sealer, it is ready to hang in your wine cellar or to bring wine country into your home or business.
For the "Listras" we cut the wine barrel staves down to make the elegant frames then space them apart so there is plenty of light coming out all sides. For the front screen we carefully cut different colored wine staves (Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Cabernet, etc) before attaching them to the front creating a screen or grill to diffuse the light. In our continuing effort to be environmentally conscious and recycle (and also make more awesome projects), I came up with this fun filled idea to reuse wine barrel rings in a unique way.
To create the sconce, we shape the wine barrel rings by hand (you should see our forearms!) and carefully weld them into place. The design allows the passage of light through and makes a true design statement. Its rugged simplicity looks great with the bulb on or off.
The "Shift" wall sconce is made from hand bent, recycled wine barrel rings. The character of these wine barrel rings is captivating; at quick glance, they're all quite similar, but when you look closely you start to see just how diverse they are, and how much they've been affected by their life holding a barrel together. Our team of talented artists decided to make a light that celebrates this variety of texture and dimension.
  • Its perfect for bathrooms, hallways, heck we even put some on large boats. Can be hung vertically or horizontally.

"Ruban" is modern and chic yet wonderfully rustic, each is handmade from recycled materials. We bend the wine barrel rings by hand (you should see our forearms!) and carefully weld it together to create a shape that reflects the light. When creating the "Kundali" sconce, we bend retired Napa wine barrel rings by hand (you should see our forearms!) and carefully weld them to a piece of recycled steel that makes a rounded "box" that lets tons of light through and makes a fabulous design statement. Its rugged simplicity looks great with the bulb on or off.
