Amy Vangsgard lives in Los Angeles, California where she graduated from Art Center College of Design. For over 20 years Amy has been an award winning free-lance illustrator. She has also taught design and illustration at Otis College of Art and Design. Amy had worked in many media including assemblage, clay, painting, and digital arts. Amy uses both digital photography and digital painting techniques. Her inspiration comes from nature and succulent plants. She is fascinated with the way light illuminates objects and casts interesting shadows.

Gallery wrap is a method of stretching an artist's canvas so that the canvas wraps around the sides and is secured to a hidden, wooden frame.
