  • Artist: John Grimshaw
  • Product Type: Canvas Art
  • Size: 18" x 32"
  • Made in the USA.
John Grimshaw was a Victorian-era artist, a "remarkable and imaginative painter" known for his city night-scenes and landscapes. He created landscapes of accurate color, lighting, vivd detail, and realism. He painted landscapes that typified seasons or a type of weather, city and suburban street scenes, and moonlit views. His careful painting and skill in lighting effects meant that he captured both the appearance and the mood of a scene in minute detail.

This 18" x 32" canvas art is ready to hang. Giclee (jee-clay) is an advanced printmaking process for creating high quality fine art reproductions. The attainable excellence that Giclee printmaking affords makes the reproduction virtually indistinguishable from the original piece. The result is wide acceptance of Giclee by galleries, museums, and private collectors. Gallery wrap is a method of stretching an artist's canvas so that the canvas wraps around the sides and is secured to a hidden, wooden frame. This method of stretching and preparing a canvas allows for a frameless presentation of the finished print.
