Unmistakably glamorous, the Elisa eggshell console is a showstopper. There is nothing subtle about the Elisa collection. The eggshell finish on the three drawers is created by an artisan using an old-world technique in which he lays, by hand, tiny pieces of eggshell into a unique pattern over a linen foundation. Each piece of the eggshell is meticulously adhered, fitting in like a puzzle piece. The artisan then covers the design with myriad layers of hand-painted lacquer to achieve a smooth finish. The result is a usable piece of artwork.

Notice the custom hand-cast pulls in a dramatic teardrop shape and the bronze piping that traces the perimeter of the white-washed hessian panels on both the front and sides of the cabinet. The panels are cleverly notched to highlight the bronze door pulls. The interior is finished with an oak veneer, features two adjustable shelves, and includes back holes for easy cable maintenance. The feet, slightly obscured from view, are comparable to the eaves of a midcentury modern roof, grounding the piece. This white cabinet would be best used in a big entryway, in a grand dining room as a serving cabinet, or nestled at the end of a living room, housing blankets and board games.
