O'Hennon Builders

We have contracted with O'Hennon for three projects. In 2016 they built our back deck and sunroom stairs, I liked their work so much that I hired them to do our porch in 2017. This year 2021 I hired them again to renovate my kitchen, install ceiling beams in the living room, install floor tile in my laundry room and hall. Our house is 60 years old, so I was expecting to run into some snags, which of course we did. We set a budget and as the snags occurred, they would adjust the cost and give me the opportunity to adjust what I can still afford. They looked out for my interest every step of the way. I will only hire O'Hennon for my home improvement projects.

We bought and renovated an older home in St. Leonard. O'Hennon provided clear plans and costs as well as an estimated completion schedule. We reconstructed 3 bathrooms, a laundry room, a built-in glass wall unit, and updated and rebuilt parts of an outdoor deck and stairs and railings. In addition, we painted and replaced flooring throughout. We are very happy with the completed work and confidently recommend them. Paula

My husband and I used O'Hennon Builders for our Master Suite addition. From the beginning of the building process to the end finishes and details, they were professional, knowledgeable, and accommodating. I have hired O’Hennon Builders twice over the past decade. The first was to build a bedroom in our basement so that my father-in-law could move in with us. The other was to rebuild my deck after a hurricane came through and destroyed it. In both instances, O’Hennon Builders was extremely professional and the work was top notch. My wife and I have been wanting to do a complete renovation of our historic home that has been in our family for many years. It was extremely important for us to accomplish this in a way that made the property functionally up to date and efficient, while maintaining the look and feel of a historical home. We spent several years meeting with a variety of architects, builders, subcontractors and manufactures, while developing an overall plan. Although, they had plenty of work, as they are highly regarded in the community, JJ recognized the challenges that we were facing (he has experience working on historical properties), and graciously agreed to take on our project. At this point, we are about 75% complete, and could not be more pleased with our decision to put our project in JJ's and Kathleen's hands. O'Hennon has now renovated almost every corner of our house! They did such a great job that we kept finding additional projects and asking them to come back. JJ and Kathleen are always helpful and friendly, and prices are always fair. Not once in the process did we feel that there were any uncalled for "extras" or "markups" -- always very transparent and as agreed. We highly recommend them for renovations of all kinds. I know they also build houses ground up, although we didn't need that, but it shows in their skill and knowledge.

They had a beautiful house plan that they were able and willing to work with us to make a perfect home. A truly customized home. They worked on every little detail with us. The owners showed up promptly to give us any help needed as far as design, were punctual in providing a price and started work when they said they would. I contracted the services of O'Hennon Builders on two different occasions. Once was building our home with the total square footage of over 3500, and the other was an extention of a two story screen-in deck over 750 square feet. Both jobs turned out outstanding. I was always able to reach the contractor or his office if I had any questions or wanted modifications to our plans. We were able to keep within our budget and his crew was very respectful and worked very well together.
