Scott Nordman moved to Siesta Key in January, 2016, and started Sandy Beach Construction, after spending nearly his entire life in Cincinnati, Ohio. He graduated from Miami of Ohio in 1987 with a Bachelors Degree in Environmental Design. In 1988, he started in the construction industry with Greater Cincinnati’s largest production homebuilder, and after 3 years, was hand selected by the Executive Vice President of the company to help start a new custom homebuilding company, Signature Homes. With Signature Homes, Scott was chief home designer, and won numerous awards for his designs. Because of their award-winning homes, Signature Homes quickly became Northern Kentucky’s 2nd largest custom homebuilder. Because of his time with Signature Homes, Scott has extensive experience in building affordable executive custom homes and working closely with clients to design the home of their dreams. In 2000, Scott started his own custom home-building company and was quickly becoming one of Greater Cincinnati’s up-and-coming builders. Scott specialized in building infill homes and townhomes in Cincinnati’s premier city neighborhoods. He was written up in the local Builder magazine as the new face of the infill townhome building community. During the Recession, Scott expanded his business to roofing and home remodeling. He worked closely with insurance companies to repair homes after several hurricanes- including Katrina, Ike, and Irene. He also repaired homes after devastating hailstorms and became a preferred contractor with numerous insurance companies. Upon moving to Siesta Key, Scott has engrained himself in the homebuilding community, slowly building his business by word-of-mouth. He also became a preferred contractor with the prestigious Ritz-Carlton Beach Residences.
