As a design/build firm, architects play a critical role in the success of our projects. For this reason, we are quite careful when we retain an architect on behalf of a client. As a contractor working in some of the finest homes in the Chicago area, we first became aware of the great work Marshall Architects has done more than 10 years ago. At one point, we set up a meeting with Dan to learn more about his firm. At the first meeting, I was impressed by Dan's skill and passion for architecture and we decided to have him provide architectural services on one of our renovation projects. I continued to be impressed with his ability to collaborate and become a very valuable asset to our team. I have worked with many architects over the years, but Dan is one of the few who fully understands all aspects of great design, practicality, budget control and how to make sure that anything he touches is as high quality as it can be. Dan Marshall and his team served as the architects for our new home construction. While the process can be overwhelming, working with Marshall Architects was by far our favorite part of the process. We hired Marshall Architects to custom design our dream home. Our dream was to build a prairie style home. We had confidence in Marshall Architects design aesthetics for this style as we've seen a number of his past homes built in the area. We were not sure how it could be pulled off given our limited funds and design criteria. All we can say is that our expectations were exceeded because the design of the home is truly amazing to us and everything we always dreamed about. It is obvious to us that Dan and his team always puts the client's interest first. We never felt rushed at the many decision points and he helped guide us throughout the process.
