Patricia Thompson Design Associates

Full-service residential architectural and interior design firm specializing in residential additions, renovations, and new construction. Ms. Thompson holds both Master of Architecture and Master of Fine Arts degrees from Tulane University and has studied Architectural Historic Preservation at Columbia University and the University of Florida. She has worked on many high-profile historic projects (including interior design for the White House, renovation of the lobby of Ford's Theatre and resoration of the Old Georgia Governor's Mansion ca. 1830). She currently specializes in residential additions and renovations. She also teaches design part-time at a local college. Patricia was Interior Design Program Chair at the Art Institute of Jacksonville 2008-2011. •Also, taught interior design curriculum at college level including: Measured Drawing and Survey, Mechanical Systems for Buildings, History of Furniture and Architecture I, II and III, Construction Documents I and II, Presentation Techniques, Interior Design Residential Studios I, II, III, IV and V, Commercial and Institutional Design Studios, and Senior Studio I and II. •Participated as design judge in HGTV series “Battle of the Block” 2010-2011 season. • Actively seeks opportunities to use my architectural knowledge and experience to positively impact the built environment provided by low-income housing non-profit. Presently serve as member of the Board of Directors of Habitat for Humanity of the Jacksonville Beaches and as Chair of the Design Committee.
