Anne Ryan Miller Glass Studio

Anne originally came to my house to see where the stained glass window would be going. We discussed ideas, and before she left, Anne was already drawing rough sketches about some possibilities. We kept in touch during the whole process (approx. 3 months), and I even went to her studio a few times to help select colors and glass. The window came out better than I had imagined! I loved it so much I had her make another one with a different design. Both windows are now in my house, and I receive compliments every time family and friends stop by. She is talented, professional, and very knowledgable about her craft. I would recommend Anne for any stained glass window project you may be thinking of doing!

I wanted a meaningful 20th anniversary gift. Anne totally delivered on a beautiful art glass piece with metal overlay that I installed in a transom window built into the shelves of our library! The Oak leaves symbolize a tree on our property where the ashes of my wife's parents are now feeding the roots. Anne was very easy to work with. She worked diligently to ensure that the artwork was exactly what I wanted. And then it exceeded my expecations.

We worked in partnership with the glass artist in developing the design of a stained glass lamp shade for the favorite space in our home. The artist also helped the client design a wood base for the lamp shade. We are absolutely thrilled with the results. This artist knows how to work with her clients to achieve a shared vision. She is not only gifted in her art and craft, but is able to communicate with the client to discover together an inspiring outcome. The process of working together to design the shade and the base for this lamp was a very special experience for us – not only do we have a wonderful piece of art in our home but we have a shared experience with the artist that will be a special memory for years to come.

Our kitchen window faces another house and I wanted to have a panel installed in front of the window that I could take with me if we move. Ann designed and created a beautiful window that keeps the greens of the pine trees but also lets me see above to the sky and still blocks out most of the house next door. The large beveled pieces add an elegance and surprise sparkle! It's my favorite view!

Anne created beautiful stained glass windows for my front entry door (5 total pieces of glass - two side windows and three above the door). I wanted a more contemporary look, yet something that would still be warm and inviting. We reviewed many design ideas over the course of several months while the house was being built. After finalizing the design, she brought many glass samples to the house so that we could choose the actual glass to be used for construction. She helped to create full-size mock-ups prior to creating the final artwork to ensure that all of the pieces would fit together. The final result is exactly what I wanted! I would highly recommend Anne for other stained glass windows.

Based upon viewing the body of her groundbreaking work with stained glass in combination with copper overlay, we commissioned Anne to provide us with an interior window (approximately 6 by 4 feet) imaging one of our most favorite places to visit, Jenny Lake, at the foot of the Grand Teton mountains in Wyoming. We found Anne's artistry and cooperation to be most energetic throughout the creative process, and she was a dream to work with respect to budget as well . The result was beyond our expectations, as she has created in glass and copper, an almost photographic likeness of sunset at Jenny Lake in the Tetons for our family room. Because the window is an interior one, with no natural light source behind, Anne suggested, that it be backlit utilizing diffused, LED light panels, which are controlled by a wireless infinity remote. This accommodates any desired lighting effect associated with different stages of sunset. To better take advantage of this idea, Anne overlaid the Teton mountains behind the glass, and the trees and foreground detail in front of the glass, giving the window scene a three dimensional effect when backlit. Without the panels lit, the window has a completely different look of deep colored glass hues associated with sunset, with the foreground as a copper-toned offset, with only the slightest whisper of the Tetons in the background. With the window lit, the mountains visually pop in all their snow-capped glory. We highly recommend Anne's work, and look forward to our next project with her. Don & JoAnne Jones

We were planning on building our dream home (a log home) and we knew one important aspect for sure - we both love stained glass. We were wanted to stick with our rustic theme and found Anne online. From the first contact right through the design and shipment, Anne was awesome. She made sure she understood exactly what we were looking for before she started the work. We are absolutely thrilled with the final product and it's one of the most complimented pieces in the whole house. It's absolutely beautiful and extremely high quality (was a little worried about the metal overlay but it's elegant and well as rustic). Highly, highly recommend her work!

We hired Anne to design and create unique, nature-themed, stained glass panels for several areas of our new home in Florida. We had butterflies in 3-D and flowers draped over a trellis, waterbirds hovering near cypress trees in the evening, and egrets prancing among branches of greenery. Each piece was destined for street-facing windows and successfully provided privacy with beauty. Anne is an artisan, capable of the highest-quality pieces, surpassing all expectations. Additionally, she enhanced the panels with iron hinges to allow for maintenance of the wood window frames and exterior glass.

I have a number of Anne's pieces in my home, including a fabulous commissioned piece. The commissioned piece is a 3-foot octagonal window. Anne created this window after closely listening to my thoughts of what I hoped would be included. Her creativity soared, and I have a unique stained glass window that is enjoyed from within my home as well as from curbside. Anne's talent with her metal overlay technique soldered onto carefully selected pieces of stained glass is unsurpassed. I never tire of looking at the pieces I own, as the images change depending on the lighting (ie day vs night, bright sunlight vs overcast sky), and I repeatedly receive complimentary comments from guests.

Anne worked with me to create 2 very special glass windows for my cottage studio. She incorporated photographs of my favorite locations and images to produce amazing panels. They are in the process of being framed now. I had in mind what I wanted for wood for the frame, but after today's meeting that all changed.
