Beach Stove and Fireplace

We purchased a Stoll Wood Burning insert from this dealer in January of 2018. Within 2 weeks we noticed the left side of the fireplace drawing the flame and the glass being very hot. We called and a technician came out and agreed that the flame pulled to the left and the insert was off center, but said it created no problems for our unit. It worked efficiently. The pad on thecopening the lever was melted and he ordered us a new one from the company. Almost 2 years from the installation date the glass cracked on the left hand bottom corner. Upon calling Chris in Westhampton, at the store, we received little sympathy, no help and basically a negative attitude. We had another professional look at the glass who agreed that, indeed, there was some type of problem that should have been addressed as these ceramic glass doors rarely break. We then, personally, brought the door to Chris at the store in Westhampton and upon looking at it, he once again again displayed an unhelpful and negative attitude. We are now in the process of ordering the glass from another company to the tune of approximately $400.00. We cannot recommend this dealership and in fact would advise strongly against purchasing from them. Good companies stand behind their merchandise and try to help their customers when there is a problem. We would have received much better treatment at WalMart.

I tried to do business with Beach Stove and Fireplace but couldn't come to terms. For my whole home renovation I really had my heart set on the Focus 320 fireplace from RSF but the only provider here in Long Island NY is Beach Stove and Fireplace. The company wanted full product payment up front PLUS 50% of the labor without any guarantees that the labor quoted was the final price. I've been working with a whole host of contractors - flooring, siding, tile work, all the way to custom cabinets and none of them asked me for full payment up front for their products alone and definitely NOT services that hadn't been delivered yet. I ended up sourcing a similar fireplace elsewhere from a local provider with more acceptable business terms.
