10/10! Barb and her team at Ford & Associates are the real deal. We worked together during an entire home renovation and I can honestly say that Barb and her team are nothing short of amazing. Barb helped with everything from paint colors to hardware choices to layout decisions to accessorising. She understood my taste and my likes and dislikes immediately and always has an immediate grasp on things that would or wouldn't work for me. From our first meeting, her experience and natural talent in the design world were obvious and I felt like she always went the extra mile to make sure everything was perfect. We had quite a few issues with construction that were out of Barb's control completely, and caused some stress and complications and I was in awe of the grace and patience at which she tackled every situation. She is very generous with her time and knowledge and is truly a kind person and an exceptional business owner. I am so grateful to have met her and will hire her again and again for every future design project I have.

Barb truly is amazing! We were wanting to update our outdoor cushion and seating area and I asked a very close friend of mine who she used to help her make her house look so fabulous both inside and out! My friend assured me I would be in good hands and she was right! Barb exceeded any and all expectations. She came up with a new layout with our existing furniture that now flows so much better. We are in love with the cushion fabrics she chose, fun decorative pillows, new outdoor rugs, poufs around the firepit area and a few new furniture pieces adding a whole new level of class and sophistication. Her eye for design is pure perfection. Barb is easy to work with, and through the process we never felt pushed into purchasing or doing anything outside of our comfort level. Excited to work with her on our next projects!

My husband and I have been working with Barb and her company, Ford & Associates, for the past 6 months as we added on and remodeled the living areas of our home. Barb listened to what we were hoping to achieve and then brought it to fruition with her wonderful sense of design and her eye for color. She worked with us from start to finish, beginning with room design; then helped us select kitchen cabinets, quartzite and backsplash, and finally helping us choose window and wall treatments, furniture and rugs. Our remodel is nearly complete and our home is more even more beautiful than we anticipated. As we make minor changes throughout the rest of our home in the future we will continue to consult with Barb. I can give my very highest recommendation of Barb and her team. Barb truly listens and takes time to understand preferences, style, and logistical needs. Since I wanted to work around some art, and furniture I already had, I imagine her job was more challenging than when starting from a blank slate. She brought not only creativity, expertise and a good sense of practicality, but joyfulness and inspiration into her work with us. She worked closely with us to design custom nightstands as well as built-in cabinets, a window seat, and fireplace in our master suite which had several alcoves in desperate need of inspiration. I sincerely had SO MUCH FUN working with her to choose fabrics, wall coverings, colors & accents for the different projects! The people she engaged to complete the various tasks were all highly competent & a pleasure to work with. It has been such an incredible blessing to have a gorgeous new master suite, dining room, music room & updated living room, as well as a fresh feel with new paint and accents throughout our home. We have been very thankful to “shelter in comfort & beauty” thanks to Barb’s transformations during this pandemic season. Barb is an amazing designer to work with. She worked with us in completely transforming our home from a kitchen remodel and updating our furniture and decorations and beautiful art work to helping us with our master bath remodel. She is so genuine and guides you in choosing what you like without making mistakes. Coordinating colors and styles is not easy but Barb made is such a fun process! She made something for me as the client that feels overwhelming, very easy. She really gets to know her client and how they live in their home to make it so beautiful but yet so comfortable to live in as well. We actually enjoy sitting and talking in our beautiful living room where before we would just walk by before..... we are truly grateful for all Barb's help and her responsiveness and customer services is exceptional. We bought a house in Del Mar and have worked with Barb for the past 6 months. She's been a great pleasure and consummate professional. We've never worked with a designer before and our primary residence is East coast so we've really relied on Barb to coordinate everything. She's been fantastic- she will go as fast or as slow as we want, provides multiple options for everything and is always mindful of our overall plan and budget. She has helped us get electrical and paint work done and she met the vendors and oversaw everything.
