I contacted Barbara in the Spring when I was in the process of buying a townhouse, and she made herself available despite the pandemic and shopping restrictions. I had a general idea of how I wanted to update my new home, but Barbara guided me and gave me suggestions about some design elements and colors. She also helped me shop for the items I needed, and brought me to places I would not have thought to go to. Barbara is very nice, she listened to my taste and needs, was respectful of the budget, and was always available throughout the process. She introduced my to a wonderful contractor that she is used to work with, and he was very reliable, and did the work quickly and very well. It was my first time using the services of an interior designer, and I am very glad I did it, the whole experience was positive, and I could not be happier with the outcome!

Barbara's gentle guidance made the experience of redecorating much easier for me. She provided me with lots of options while helping me to discover my style. I worked with Barbara when I was decorating my dining room and living room window treatments. She was very instrumental in helping me find beautiful grass cloth paper for my dining room and coordinating fabric for my window treatments. She also was very helpful in picking fabric for my living room window treatments that worked well with my existing wall color and furniture fabrics. She is very professional and prompt. Barbara is a fantastic interior designer. In addition to have a wonderful sense of style, Barbara is truly mindful of her client's likes and dislikes, careful to appreciate their individual tastes while also encouraging them to be open to new possibilities. Barbara has worked with me on a few projects over a few years to bring my home out of the 90's! The projects included overhauls of my master bedroom and guest room, family room upholstery, and kitchen upholstery and window treatments. Barbara, there are many designers in the field, but your taste level and ability to understand and interpret clients' wishes are what makes you stand head and shoulders above the rest. Your knowledge of the intricacies of design is what struck me, all the while not making me feel intimidated or inadequate. My husband and I were excited to purchase our first home in April 2016. It was important to us to have a main living area in our townhouse that was tastefully designed to match our style, however, neither of us is particularly skilled in the art of home decorating. Having never worked with a designer before, we had no idea where to start. So, like any millennial would do, we went to Google. Among the results for "interior designer in Princeton, NJ" we found a link to the company Barbara was working for and I called that afternoon and spoke to Barbara. I was immediately impressed by her professionalism and thoroughness in our first phone call. She agreed to meet us at our new home the day after we closed to take a look at the space and get an idea of what we were looking for. After our first consultation with Barbara, we felt very at ease working with her. She offered valuable suggestions and ideas on everything from room layout and furnishings all the way to paint color and wall décor. Throughout the entire process she was conscious of our budget and personal taste. She was also very organized and responded to our emails and phone calls almost immediately. By early July our living and dining rooms were finished. The space turned out truly beautifully and we couldn't be happier with it. Of all the new things we acquired during the decoration process, we are most grateful for the new friend that we found in Barbara. We would highly recommend her to anyone considering such services.
