We found Kimberly via the Main Line Parent 2017 'Best for Families' Guide voted as Best Interior Designer. We interviewed several designers and felt that Kimberly was the best match for us. She has an amazing eye and did a wonderful job incorporating furniture and decor we purchased while living abroad with carefully selected new pieces in our recently purchased contemporary home. My favorite part of the process was going shopping with Kimberly. She is incredibly knowledgable about furniture, lighting, and textile shops both locally and online and I felt that she 'nailed it' when recommending decor for our home. Our project is ongoing and we are looking forward to working with Kimberly again in the future!

We engaged Kimberly to redesign our new construction pantry and mudroom and she did not disappoint. We wanted a farmhouse design and she nailed it - shiplap, barn door, etc. Kimberly is very easy to work with, provided great visuals and was involved from design phase through project completion (even offering decorative recommendations after). I collaborate with Kimberly on many of her drapery projects and she has an incredible energy that her clients love. Her passion is infectious and her love of mixing vintage elements with fresh modern interiors is always a hit! Kimberly loves design and it is so fun to see her working her magic on her beautiful design boards, custom built-ins, amazing fabrics and spot-on furnishing and finish selections. She is skilled at creating custom interiors and no stone will be left unturned! She will hunt down that perfect piece to make your space shine. Kimberly is sweet, real and a creative force to be reckoned with! I highly recommend her for any design project!

We moved into a new house almost 2 years ago and Kimberly Barr has been a huge part of making our house a home. We worked with Kimberly over several sessions and she provided specific design guidance (paint colors, furniture size, placement, curtains, etc) and we executed. She is flexible and can work with you in this way, or if you prefer her to provide more hands on service she can do that as well. She really took the time to understand and respect our style, while helping us to also push those boundaries a little with items we may have not chosen otherwise...but absolutely love! We have been extremely happy with her choices for our home as well as her responsiveness to any follow up questions. I highly recommend Kimberly Barr for your interior design.

I worked with Kimberly to get design recommendations for various rooms in our home- I was looking for help to make rooms feel more complete. Kimberly suggested specific rugs, paint colors for refinishing furniture, accessories such as pillows for our couch and bedroom, curtains and hardware, shelving and picture frames and more. She also pointed me to reliable, well priced, quality folks to perform work in our home where necessary. I have acted on every single suggestion she made, am very much in love with the final product in every room and am still working through completing a few things on the list. Kimberly is kind, not pushy at all and easy to work with. I will certainly use her again and already recommended her to a family member who also used her services and is very pleased with the results. She makes it so easy and stays within budget!

Kimberly is dedicated to making your space your own. It's not about creating a blank canvas for her to impose her style and taste, it's about you creating the space with guidance. I also love that she can be thrifty and think out of the box....using furniture and art you have and putting it in a space that you're excited about! Kimberly has helped me on several projects. Kimberly came highly recommended through a main line facebooked page. We interviewed her as well as three others. At the time we didn't know how big our project was going to be. She was helpful from the initial visit. She sensed we were overwhelmed and guided us through our thoughts. She was the only one who offered suggestions based on what we had and didn't say to change everything. She made us feel hopeful. We knew we wanted to work with her. Fast forward months later! We have our contractors lined up and she swooped in to help us on very short notice! Her talent left me in awe. I was fascinated how she put things together. I appreciated her knowledge at the tile store when she spoke up to get me the best for our budget. Kimberly did this all in our short timeframe . She answered frantic weekend and night emails and in the end our projects turned out beautiful! Well beyond our expectations and within our budget! I have since hired her again for more of her design ideas. I can not recommend her enough. Whatever you are looking for, look no further.

Before working with Kimberly, I was worried that we wouldn't be able to design and expand our bathroom within our budget. Upon Kimberly's first visit not only did she tell us it was possible, but designed a bathroom that not only gave us the additional space we were looking for, but within our budget. I loved working with her. We used pinterest to give her a sense of what I was interested in and drawn to, and then she took those boards and crafted a design within my aesthetic. The deliverable she provided was a to scale drawing of the bathroom, as well as links to all the products she recommended in varying price points. Additionally, Kimberly went above and beyond when the initial contractor came in way over budget. She worked to set up meetings with other contractors and found us a quality contractor who was able to implement her design within our budget. Finally, working with her was great. She was very willing to come by on a whim to show new tiles, talk through new ideas, and check-in on how the job was doing. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone, and in fact I already have!

She really took the time to personalize each piece to ensure it was special and fit my own aesthetic. She is so passionate about what she does and was such a pleasure to work with. Kim is one of the best designers I've ever worked with. She helped me mix and match colors and patterns to create one of the coziest living spaces I've ever had. Her ideas are consistently amazing and she creates homes that are unlike any other designer I've ever seen. To top it off, she is so incredibly flexible and collaborative that she made the whole experience fun.

Kim is so good as what she does. She shows you how to utilize things you have and incorporate new ideas. All while keeping with your current tastes. She makes the rooms flow for you. She's fun to work with and gets back to you right away even when she is finished your project!
