Le Sueur Landscape Design

Amy was a wonderful resource as we began to consider how best to create a more natural garden in our backyard, and forego our traditional lawn. We were particularly interested in using native plants in our new garden, and Amy’s knowledge of our area’s native plants was extensive and invaluable. Amy was incredibly generous with her time, and she did a lot of research for us, identifying multiple options for consideration, and educating us about the pros and cons of each. Importantly, she brought a lot of creativity to the task, and presented wonderful suggestions for how best to combine plants to create interesting color and texture schemes. The outcome was wonderful, and we’ve enjoyed all the wildlife our garden attracts, including hummingbirds!

I hired Amy to relandscape my front garden when half my foundation plants died. This was more challenging than a clean slate as she had to design around existing plants with regard to size, color and texture. Amy's knowledge of plants is extensive. She strongly favors native species which are more likely to thrive and she's very alert to deer resistant plants, a very important issue for me. The result is fantastic. I couldn't be happier.

Amy Le Sueur's approach to landscape design couldn't possibly be more relevant to the needs of the planet today. Whether it be biodiversity or sustainability, creating landscape environments that serve these needs is what Amy does so brilliantly. She understands the delicate balance of nature, and how a garden can support butterflies, bees, birds, as well as her client's souls! Her designs are just beautiful, and she is wonderful fun to work with.
