Mary was such a pleasure to work with. She was open to our ideas and made them realities. Our project is almost complete. We can't wait to host many gatherings in our yard in the future. Thanks Mary you are very knowledgable and creative.

We are extremely pleased with our new landscape in the back and front yards. Mary Dewing, of The Garden Artist, helped us design the project, adhering to existing conditions and our budget, She listened to our needs and ideas and incorporated them into a beautiful design. Mary was knowledgable about plants, hardscape materials, electrical, and drainage needs. She helped us design and supervised the work on our metal gates and fence. As the project progressed, Mary followed up and made sure the plans were being followed. We are very happy with the service that Mary provided and recommend her without reservation.

Mary Dewing is truly "The Garden Artist". We recently worked with her on the remodeling of our backyard and are so very pleased with the results. Mary really listened to us and what we were looking for in extending our patio and making the space both more welcoming and usable. Concerns we had about the yard were listened to and addressed appropriately. We found Mary so very comfortable to work with and loved her ideas and concepts from the get go. She exhibited the perfect balance of suggesting and recommending without being pushy or forceful. She followed through the project from beginning to very end to make sure we were satisfied with the final results. Mary designed a wonderful backyard especially for our needs. Her knowledge of materials and plants, along with her amazing designs was outstanding. Her fee was quite reasonable for the time she put into the project. She was completely willing to listen to our ideas, while guiding us through all the processes necessary to complete our project. She is so friendly and personable - truly a joy to work with.

With my front yard in desperate need of a new look I hired Mary to help in coordinating a new design. Mary met me at my home and spent a significant amount of time brainstorming ideas not only for a new landscape but helped incorporate new hardscape for the fireplace and sidewalks. After taking extensive measurements of my front yard, she came back with three different design concepts along with computerized pictures of what the finished design would look like. After my husband and I decided on a design, Mary helped us pick out the stone that was used for the hardscape. When the cement was getting poured, Mary was here to make sure all the work was done according to the plans. When it came time to picking out plants, she listened to what I had in mind as well as offered some other suggestions. When I had difficulty trying to find some of the plants at the nursery, she did not hesitate to make sure that the variety the nursery had was the right variety we needed for our plans. With the yard complete, I decided to paint the outside of the house. I had several colors in mind. Mary came by the house and offered her opinion on which color she felt complemented the stonework the best. Overseeing the cement work and picking out paint colors were not part of her job but Mary was so enthusiastic about the finished design, that she offered her time to make sure that the front of the house from landscape to paint colors was perfect. I would definitely work with Mary again. In fact we are in the process of putting together a design concept for our backyard. Mary is an amazing designer, flexible and very easy to work with.
