I hired GRAMEX for a garage residing, new door, window, and gutter job. They did a phenomenal job! GRAMEX told me they'd start in 3 - 4 weeks (started in 3 weeks) and it would take 3 - 4 days (took 3 days) to complete. I could not be happier with the quality, care, and professionalism of the whole team - Sam, and the crew who did the work. I would recommend them to anyone - easy to work with and did the job right.

They did not meet their contractual obligation. Over a 2 hour in-person sales meeting we agreed upon the lowest level of work to be performed and a price. I signed their contract and put down a deposit.
After a 4+ month wait, I received a call from the owner demanding more money for the job. Specifically, 54% more than the agreed upon contractual price.
I told the owner, we have a contract. He proceeded to insult and harass me and somehow deflected this onto me instead of taking ownership and doing the job.

I had a bow window put in my kitchen. It turned out excellent. i had to have it built up to change from floor to ceiling window and they did that as well. From the sale to the end it was a great experience.

Proceed with caution! A nail was driven thru my air conditioner line during siding installation(didn't find out until the first time we ran the air). I was told by the Gramex to get a pressure test and if it came back zero pressure the cost to repair etc would b taken care of the next day from grame. The test would b reimbursed as well(500 apprx). Provided proof the only explanation was the a/c line was punctured during installation but wasa told the repair and or replacement was not happening unless I ripped the siding off and proved to Sam it was a nail because, "there is no way we put a nail through your a/c line." After 3 total bids and all 3 stating the most cost effective fix is to replace the unit due to the cost of removing the old line, tearing out drywall and brand new siding, running a new line and refilling the freon was more expensive than a replacement unit. The unit was replaced. At my expense. For now.
After locating the nail that punctured the line, I showed it to Sam myself and I truly thought he would take make a really awful wrong right. Nope, he did not correct a thing. Not only is he refusing to reimburse me, he's fabricating story after story. Accountability should have been easy. The proof was provided and instead of correcting an already terrible situation, Sam points blame at me, the home owner, and then creates a public display I still owed money on a contract. Not only completely fabricated but shameful, at best.
Makes me sad as an Elmhurst resident using and supporting local. It's one huge reason this company was selected to replace my siding and more! Writing a negative review is something I hate doing but this should b stopped, the invoices and damages should b paid and had that been done a very different review would have been written. I was hoping to write an updated review based on what I expected to be a very different experience. As a single mom working hard to give my kids our first Elmhurst home and one with lots of renovations, this is horrible!
Mistakes will happen but integrity is everything and this owner has proven that bad business practices can be VERY costly to a homeowner and integrity is nonexistent.

I needed exterior work done on my house and I was having a hard time finding someone professional to do the job. They came to my home and gave me a great estimate and really made me feel like they cared about the project being done exactly how I wanted. They checked with me every step of the process to make sure I was completely satisfied with how it looked and extra steps they took to make sure it was fortified. I am extremely impressed with the craftsmanship and knowledge their employees have.

We are very sorry to see you did not have a positive experience with our company. We take a lot of pride in making sure our clients are 100% satisfied with the work we are providing for them. We do remember this job very clearly, and are very concerned with the way this review was written.
Over a year ago we came out to your residence to complete a siding job. Like all professional businesses, we have contracts with terms and conditions, to ensure all jobs are completed correctly, and there is a legal guideline to reference at all times. When we completed the siding job on your house, you had stated you wanted your back porch done as well, which was not included in your contract. We offered to complete the back porch, but it would be an additional cost, as we did not agree on this prior to the start of the work.
You then stated that you would not pay for the siding job we already completed, until we did the back porch. We made it a point to give you a great rate on the siding job we had already completed, and again reiterated that if we were to do the back porch, it would be an additional cost. At that time, you said this would be appropriate, and told us to go ahead and complete the back porch to finish things up. After everything was completed, you still refused to pay for the porch that was done.
After discussing it with our team, we agreed that since you were an Elmhurst resident, to which we always have great respect for, we would not continue to pursue the additional cost for the back porch that was done, even though we had a contract for the original job.
Recently, you had contacted us about a nail poking through your AC line, and that it was to our fault that this happened. We mentioned that if you were to have this repaired, we would come out and fix any siding that was damaged, complimentary. While traveling home from another job, we did see the AC contractor outside of your home, so we decided the go ahead and take a look with him, to see what we would need to repair if anything was damaged. He was in the process of putting an entirely new AC unit in your home, to which he stated it was not necessary, but you wanted an entirely new Unit. There was NO damage done to the siding.
Now you are wanting us to pay for you to have an entirely new AC unit put into your home, even though it was not necessary. We even mentioned again that we would still not be pursuing the additional funds you owe to us, for defaulting on your original contract with our company.
We have a lot of respect for our hometown residents, but this review is very inappropriate, so we wanted to make sure you had a friendly reminder as to what the situation was, as well as future clients of ours.
Thank you
