Cape May Architect is a local architectural firm. We pride ourselves on providing unique and clever design solutions that are within your budget. Whether it is designing a new home, restoring your historic home or planning a new retail/office space, Cape May Architect under the guidance of Catherine Lorentz, AIA will give you professional service and carefully walk you through the entire process. Recently we completed a 4,500 sq. ft gut and renovation of an abandoned 3 family home in Cape May Court House. We also completed the restoration of an 1870’s farmhouse, an addition to a 1910 arts and crafts shore home and the renovation of a Cape May City historic home. Other projects include designing and building a new artist’s studio, a boathouse/bird observance platform and new homes throughout the county. As a community conscience firm, we have participated with numerous non-profit organizations such as Caring for Kids and Piloting for American Dreams. Cape May Architect is a full service architectural firm. We do not stop when the drawings are complete. We are your eyes and ears, as we are a locally established business. We guide you through the bid negotiations, zoning approval process, Historic Preservation Commission reviews and are there for onsite field visits during construction. Our firm has long lasting relationships with all our clients, design partners and builders who make up the team to a successful project.
