About Us

We are passionate about making things. We have worked with DCP Architecture supplying windows and doors on two of their projects. Tyler was one of the first architects who specified our unique FoldUp windows, and have creatively employed them into their designs. From a vendor perspective they are a complete pleasure to work with, with a keen sensitivity of providing quality and value to their clients. I am looking forward to our next project together!

My wife and I hired DCP Architecture to help design the gut renovation of two bathrooms in an old apartment and to coordinate the demolition and construction work with our contractor and our NY City co-op's internal building guidelines. The design work was complicated by idiosyncrasies associated with working in an almost 100 year old structure and was largely driven by restrictive room shapes and dimensions. My wife and I were glad to be working with DCP throughout our project as Tyler Caine took pains to incorporate our vision into his plans, listened and responded to our concerns and helped communicate, and occasionally translate, them to our contractor. He was professional and responsive in all respects. We are very pleased with the final results and happy to recommend DCP and Tyler 's services to others.

I didn’t even think to seek out an architect when planning a 3 floor gut renovation but finding Tyler was the best part of this renovation! Tyler was extremely professional, had creative design ideas & solutions. Throughout the entire 9 month construction process, which was extremely challenging, Tyler was there when needed and oversaw to ensure the contractor, plumbers, electricians painters, etc. were up to code and using proper materials. Tyler was very particular and accurate with his floor plans, filing with the DOB and all the post follow up. There were more challenges and lots of frustration throughput this project but Tyler was always the voice of reason and guided us accordingly. I highly recommend Tyler and his work ethic and professionalism.

Deena Shapiro

DCP Architecture designed a library for me in my home, then found the right finish carpenter to build the built in cabinets and woodwork. This was done even though I was located out of their usual work area so finding the right carpenter was difficult and time consuming. He provided ongoing supervision of the work via emails, phone and photos. The finished product is beautiful and unique. I found his work and approach to the project to be highly professional, careful, timely, and of high quality. He was able to design to my specifications and meet my budget limits.
