I have had the pleasure of working with Shannon on several projects over the past two decades. The white house with the red metal roof featured on her site was our first project together. As other reviewers have commented, Shannon is a pleasure to work with. Her designs are practical for easy living and her attention to architectural detail gives her work the beauty her customers want in their houses. Shannon is always available during the project with guidance to assure that the project meets with the customer's expectations.

I have been totally satisfied with both the process and the outcome of working with Shannon Fickling to renovate my 1980's kitchen, dining room, and den area. The project involved removing an entire wall that created a large open kitchen / den area with a new stone fireplace. Also a powder room and separate laundry area was added to the house. Some of the details had to be worked out on site and Shannon had an excellent understanding of building construction and made decisions that turned out amazing. This was my second experience with her on this home. Fifteen years ago she designed a beautiful addition overlooking my pool with new decking and a covered porch area with columns and ceiling fans. Her attention to details and thoughtful responses to my concerns always made me feel that my project was very important to her. I now have a stunning and functional kitchen / den area that beautifully compliments the rest of my home.

We enlisted the assistance of the Fickling Architectural Services for the extensive remodel of our home. Shannon provided expert guidance throughout the project from planning, construction and even utilization of the renovated space. Shannon explored various options to renovate our home and helped us realize our vision. She was very patient with us as we considered every step in the process. The renovation consisted of a breakfast porch, kitchen, den, master suit and bath, and converting a one story entrance hall into a open 2 story foyer with curved staircase. Addition of a basement living area, and outdoor living space were part of the project as well. Throughout the 3 year project, she helped the builder with specifications and provided advice from the large scale down to moulding detail. She has a wonderful personality and worked seamlessly with the rest of the team. Over the years since the renovation, we are continually appreciative of the wisdom she brought to the project. We highly recommend Shannon!

We engaged the services of Shannon Fickling to design our house. Our lot had limited space to site a house and her knowledge of the topo and surroundings was exceptional. Our house was designed to be built in two stages and needed to look like it had been built as one unit. The first phase was built and we were able to move in while the second phase was being built. It all fitted together and the"flow" inside and outside is unnoticeable. Everyone that visits our home is very complimentary on the design. Shannon was very professional in the meetings my wife and I had during the design and during construction when we had questions or wanted to make changes. Shannon met with hvac contractor to make sure the systems would work together with the two phases of the construction and all duct work matched. I was general contractor and her knowledge of construction was a big plus. We had full confidence that what she designed was exactly what we wanted the finished product to be.
