I have lived in a small Schildroth-designed house for over ten years. It is nestled into a woodland site, and is open and filled with natural light. It is a peaceful refuge, and still a delight a decade later! Few have the privilege of living inside a work of art. At our first meeting, James asked each of us to write a letter back to him describing our individual ideas of the perfect house for us. He took great care in listening to what we sought in a house, and later even had us send photos of our treasures, which gave him a sense of our taste as well as an idea of things that would move in with us. James produced a design that exceeded our expectations. Although we were living far away as the house was built, he was at the site often and kept us apprised of its progress on a regular basis. From concept through construction we had great communication, nearly all of it via email. It was truly a collaborative effort. Our greatest challenge was our budget. We teased James that any architect could design a great house with unlimited funds, but dealing with our monetary constraints was a true test of skill and artistry. After our first four years in our house, we asked James to design a guest house that would complement our home. I don't think we could have given a better review of his work, than to complete a second project with him.

My children and I love our home. James designed our love for the outdoors within. Our Florida Home is perfection to us. Thank you James!!!
