Liz Olberding Architect

Licensed architects are hard to find in the gorge. Fortunately, Liz Olberding moved here, and the region is so much better for it. We have done a couple of projects with her. One was a 3-family vacation home. She managed to herd all the cats and various personalities in such a way that everyone's opinion was heard. Amazing people skills! The design morphed over time (due to the multiple requests for changes), but each iteration was precise and inclusive. Due to covid (and family dynamics), we did not proceed to construction. At the moment, we are exploring the building of a second home (only one family this time). We've only been meeting for a month or so, and she is already at the 3-D model stage! She chases down every detail that we ask about. Her knowledge of facts is mind-blowing (the angle of the sun in various seasons, the R values of multiple materials, the wind load capacity of different sizes of windows ... I cannot say enough nice things about this professional!
