Onju Updegrave is an architect specializing in new and remodel single family residences. Projects in custom residential architecture span the San Francisco Bay Area with a focus in central and West Marin County. A rich diversity of residential projects include rural residential projects on large parcels with private water and septic systems, projects incorporating green practices such as solar technology, and projects with very tight space and budget constraints. She has also worked with many clients in disaster recovery, re-building after floods and fires. Design is approached as a flexible, collaborative process with a broad view of how we live in and grow with buildings over time.
