For me, architecture is an art form and I admire so many of the beautifully stunning and powerful buildings out there. Some of my favorite architects include Robert Stern, Greene & Greene, Frank Lloyd Wright, Philip Johnson and Micheal Graves. I approach each project with how to create the perfect home for my client based on their wants and needs, as well as their desires and lifestyle and deliver a unique design thats both beautiful and functional.

Following hurricane Sandy, we had to rebuild our house on the NJ shore. The best decision we made was hiring Rick Nelson as our architect. Our new home is both beautiful and functional; people still knock on our door to learn the name of our architect. In addition to the superb quality of the architecture and design, it was a pleasure working with Rick. A good listener and collaborator, Rick incorporated our ideas when they made sense and found great alternatives when they didn’t. We love our new home thanks to Rick’s design and active engagement.

Rick Nelson designs beautiful, eye-catching, unique homes at competitive prices. Most importantly Rick listens to his clients and creates homes that encompass all their needs, dreams and ideas within his innovative artistic framework. Throughout the design and build process you will find Rick responsive and engaged. Quickly, it will become obvious that he loves what he does. The results are amazing homes and happy clients. Moreover, Richard Nelson's homes are engineered a step above the normal and they are stronger, sturdier and longer lasting. No corners are cut. The first house I built with Rick was in 1997. Since that time I have built two other homes with Rick (with one currently under construction) and I know a number of other people who have worked with him as well. What we all agree on is that Rick is trustworthy, a good listener, and a wonderfully creative, proactive and supportive collaborator who makes our dreams come true.

We hired Rick to design a home on Lake Champlain for us. He was great to work with. Rick was able to incorporate our ideas and his knowledge into a design we were happy with. He was also able to work very well with our builder High Peaks. Together they were able to resolve any building issues during the process. I highly recommend Rick as an architect.
