Studio Rios Architecture

After interviewing several architects, we engaged Hector of Studio Rios to work with us on renovations to our waterfront home. He listened to our needs, offered his professional advice, and designed plans that exceeded our expectations. Hector never lost sight of our budget and stayed with the project from beginning to end, updating plans, stretching our imaginations, and offering new ideas as the project evolved. Plus, he worked extremely well with our contractor. Hector’s professional skills, creativity and thoughtful ingenuity contributed to the project’s glowing success. My organization was extremely happy with this firm's vision and ability to design a professional work environment using our ideas through site visits and conversations. Hector was always available to answer questions that either I, or our GC, had. He regularly checked in on the project's progress. He also assisted in picking our carpet and color choices because we were unsure what would work best. We will defiantly contact Studio Rios in the near future when we are ready for additional renovations.

Hector gave us a couple of different designs for our project.We remodeled the entire house with a 18x26 addition off the back of the house. it was for our mother in law but was designed as a master suite with an opposing gable to the regular house (not a mother-in-law house). The house now has a 2100 square foot Colonial/cottage look. We took the roof off of the main house so instead of a traditional Cape second-story we put in a new second floor. The second floor went from 160 square feet to 700 square feet! We put in a new garage and breezeway as well. From an exterior standpoint we have a whole new design. One of the first floor walls is probably the only original thing still there, but every other piece is brand new. Hector was very very easy to work with. We have done projects in the past and this was our first time actually working with an architect--my father was an architect and a builder. What we liked was that he came up with two totally different designs for us. One with a gable facing the streets and another with the gable parallel to the street, which I liked better. My wife and daughter liked the first one though and they won. Both great designs though! We are very happy and get lots of comments on how nice the house looks. I am honestly extremely happy with Studio Rios Architecture. The pricing was quite fair and Hector is easy to work with. He is really good at what he does and I have recommended him already.

Hector came out and was looking at our 900 square foot addition. We put in a family room and master bedroom and Hector was instrumental in the layout and design. He is super meticulous and really really easy to work with. It was easy to reach out to him and he was great at getting back to me even in the middle of the day. He gave us opinions and answered all of our questions. We went back and forth about designs and he was very easy to work with. I would like to stress that he was very meticulous and very consumer friendly. You felt like you had someone who was willing to work with you and we felt that our concerns were always very warranted with him. Top notch pro.

We interviewed three architects and Hector was the third that we interviewed; from the moment I met him I liked him. Hector is a problem solver, but does it in a warm and friendly manner and is highly professional. There were times we let the ball drop and he got us back on track and kept us on target. We thoroughly enjoyed working with him. Each and every thing that we brought to the table to discuss that we thought would be an issue with another architect he was able to resolve. He understood what we were looking for--we love Hector!

Excellent on all aspects. Hector worked with us from start to finish. It was a fairly large home remodeling project with additions added on and he was excellent throughout. Hector was great and easy to reach. He was priced out well and delivered from start to finish. I would absolutely recommend him.
