I met David Jernigan with the Gardeners Touch at a home design tour. He was reading a book on Monet's Gardens, and i thought it was worth a conversation. We had a new property under construction and i asked for a consult on a design for the landscape of our home. We have been together now for 13 years! I respect David and his work ethic. I appreciate his eye and attention to detail. He is quiet knowledgable on plants, pruning, varieties, really anything to do with your landscape, and he is well connected...if he doesn't know, he can find out. The Gardner's Touch, under Dave Jernigan's watch, has been maintaining our property, approximately 2 acres surrounding a high-rise building in the mid-town area of Phoenix, for about 5 years (2008-2013). He and his crew have been very responsive to our requests as we have added to the landscaping around our building, in addition to keeping up all that has already been planted. We have asked for a natural look with hand-pruning, which has been done in conformance with our specifications. Plants have been replaced responsibly whenever there were problems with what had been planted. Dave always tries to stay within our budget, and is very conscious of our financial needs. He is a true landscaping professional with a lot of knowledge, which he willingly imparts to us.

We started with The Gardener's Touch several months ago. Our yard was suffering from "landscaper's neglect" and every effort we made to try and improve it was a disaster! After receiving a recommendation, we called David and asked for a consultation about our problems. Where to start!?!? Everything needed replacement and/or repair...sprinkler system was old and had been "patched" beyond salvation, the lawn was a lovely combination of brown areas, weeds, grass, etc., some of the shrubs were brown stick with green ends (just what every home owner dreams about) and the rest of the landscaping was equally depressing. It's taken several months AND dollars to see our yard develop into a beautiful and lush landscape. We're still "a work in progress", but now, it's a pleasure to step outside and enjoy all the improvements David has made. Thank you David (and your professional crews), Carolyn and Art M.

I hired to Gardner's Touch to completely redesign my front yard. I live on a cul de sac and have a large yard that had messy trees and more dirt than grass. David Jernigan designed and choose the xeroscape plants, the type of hard service and trees for both sides of the driveway to compliment each other. I have large river rock and small rock covering the entire front yard. Blooming plants and a gorgeous Hybred Emerald Palo Verde that David personally chose for my front yard. The best part of his work remains underground! The sprinkler system has kept my front yard alive and growing for the past 3 years and all the plants are healthy and beautiful. I have called David since installation and asked him about maintence questions for the tree and other plants and he always takes the time to listen and thoroughly explain a procedure that I can do myself! He remembers my project like it's his next door neighbor's yard! I highly recomend The Gardner's Touch and their skilled and polite employees!
