Artistic Walls by Sandra

Sandra Quintus is a class act. I had a strange idea of painting the ceiling of our foyer with a conservatory view of the sky with stain glass and flying eagle. Sandra took the idea in my head and made it a reality. She and her family were easy to work with and create. She was open to my suggestions for the project but always put her special talents in the final product. I am a plastic surgeon and would say that I am hard to please and a perfectionist. We have been lucky enough to have Sandra add her artistic talent to our last two homes. Her personal touch and repoire with the homeowner is so rewarding. Any wall can be turned into a focal point of the home with Sandra's "magic".

My husband and I built a new house that was completed in the summer of '06. We hired Sandra and Artistic Walls to do all the interior painting. Because it was new construction, we were able to meet with her and discuss ideas, colors, and how to finish the walls. For example, we wanted the office to have an antique red leather look so prepared the walls for that process. Sandra also painted sample boards of different colors and looks when we couldn't decide. We were able to tape them in the rooms and see what each would look like with the room's natural light before making a final decision. We wanted something special on the ceiling of the lower level and Sandra designed and painted a compass rose comprised of 8 different types of wood. It is truly a conversation piece and people seeing it for the first time, can't believe it is paint and not real wood. It is hard to estimate the cost because it was done over a period of time with each step needing to dry and taping to be done before continuing. We get a lot of compliments on our house.

Sandra is an quintessential professional artist with an extraordianry gift. Her work is amazing. She is a gifted portrait painter.

The dining/sun room in our log home has a birch bark looking wall done by Sandra. It involved a unique technique with several paint layers to achieve this effect. It turned out perfectly. We love it. She also painted the other interior walls in our home using my "refined rustic" look. We let her make final color choices and techniques for painting the walls. We had complete faith in her extraordinary artistic ability. We are very pleased with all the work that she did. Above all this, she is a wonderful person and joy to work with. I do not believe there is any request she could not do. She is always ready for a new, interesting and exciting challenge.

Based on seeing examples of Sandra's work in October of 2011, I hired Sandra to paint a modelo on the ceiling in the foyer of our house. She painted the walls in our foyer as well. I wanted to have a unique look as people come into our home for the first time. She did a wonderful job and I am very happy with the end result. Sandra completed the work in December 2011 on time and within the estimated budget. I was able to show off my new artistic walls and ceiling over the holidays. I continue to receive compliments of her work when people see my foyer.
