Jil did a wonderful job painting a bakery door complete with baguettes & bagels, a wine merchants entry way and a beautiful cloudy sky in our home. She understood our vision for an old world entry way and used colors and textures that complement our modern home. We couldn’t be happier with the outcome.

Jil is an amazing artist and an unbelievable talent. We first hired Jil to create a portrait of our beloved dog Zoe who passed away this past year. When we saw the finished portrait, it was like Zoe was alive on the canvas -- the image was so life-like that we could not believe our eyes. Every detail, every shadow was to perfection. Based on this work, we then commissioned Jil to create acrylic portraits of our three children in action in their individual sporting events. We gave Jil several pictures and she again performed magic. The portraits are simply amazing and so realistic they look like photographs on the wall. Jil is very versatile, creative and a rare talent. We are so happy with her work that we will be using her for faux work in our home in the near future.

Jil Gordon has done numerous projects for me inside and around my house. Most specifically, she has faux painted doors and walls to appear like real wood with grain, knot holes, and check marks included. She has also painted Italian Winery scenery on boards that were installed outside my husband's wine room to give the feeling of looking through windows at that scenery. She has also repaired items such as a mounted Sailfish that was damaged in transit. painted pottery that was chipped, and various other items. She is truly talented and blessed with many abilities to design, develop, and detail everything needed for any environment, either inside or out. I would highly recommend her for anything faux, real, creative, and technical design work needed.

Gifted artist does not begin to describe this amazing woman. She has completely transformed my home into a fabulous work of art. Her ideas and the level of planning and innovation involved are unbelievable. If you want plain flat walls she is not for you. If you want a showcase you must see her work. I was so pleased with the job she did on my home that I had her bring her talents to my office as well. It is amazing to see my clients react to such a lovely office environment, warm and welcoming and professional. Ps she is clean worker as well, I hate it when someone leaves a mess for me to clean up!

We hired Faux Creative for many jobs. The first job Jil Gordon completed was a sports mural in my son's room. She was such a visionary during the planning stages. The best bit of advice she provided, was to get the most for our money and to have the mural painted on panels in the event we moved. What a great idea! We can always take the memory of the our son's room that he grew up in. In addition, the sports mural looks true to life. You actually feel like you can grab a jersey or helmet off the wall to wear! Jil's work went way beyond our expectations! I would hire her again and trust that she would provide consistent results. Faux Creative also painted two out dated, high quality pieces of furniture for me. Jil updated them to look like pieces you would by today in a higher end furniture store. Grateful to Jil because I loved both pieces (end table and amoire) and didn't want to replace either one!

In 2012, Jil painted a mural on the walls of the dining room of Kappa Alpha Theta sorority house at the University of Michigan. I was President of the Facility Board at the time. I had known Jil for many years and was aware of her talent, so I introduced her to the Board when we were considering renovations to the dining room. I can't tell you how happy the Board is with the outcome. It is truly a work of art and exceeded any of our expectations. We have had many people, including alumni, who stop by just to see the dining room because of what they have heard. It is something that will remain on the walls for many years to come and is a great legacy for our Board to leave to the sorority, I can't recommend Jil's work highly enough. She has a superb talent and is a pleasure to work with on any project.

Jill with FauxCreative is a very talented artist and a pleasure to work with. Jill took an old iron fireplace of ours and turned it into a masterpiece complete with faux marble effect. She also highlighted various plaster work in our home to bring out details of the pieces. She also came to our rescue when a large crack needed to be hidden in a mirror that could not be easily removed. It now looks like the beautiful shamrocks she painted were meant to be there all along. Jill is very professional, helpful and we would highly recommend her.

Jil Gordon is a very talented artist and muralist. She can create just about anything you can imagine or come up with a design suited to your home or project. Her prices are extremely fair and she works hard to please each and every customer. She can make magic appear on your surfaces, make wood look like marble, ceilings look like the sky, landscapes look like you are looking through a glass window, etc! She can do just about anything with her paint and brushes!

Jill painted a mural on my ceiling in my home which is a Bed and Breakfast. Her attention detail was incredible since it required a custom installation from scaffolding. The finished product is stunning. Its featured on my website and has generated business because its so stunning.
