Joyful Roots

My work is inspired by everyday life, my travels, and my childhood. I love experimenting with light, color, composition, and textures to create work that captures that feeling of joy, positivity, and nostalgia. I primarily work in mixed media and I like to practice what I call "intuitive art" where the painting creates itself by building layers while "feeling it out" along the way. I don't usually start with a composition but rather help the artwork come to life during the layering process.
