Montes Doggett

Extremely dissatisfied customer. Spent $1200 on dishware thinking I was buying a high quality product. One of the $35 salad plates cracked after less than 5 uses when placed in the microwave for no more than 30 seconds. I contacted the company and talked to the owner, Monica, after she did not respond to an email I sent 30 days prior regarding the situation. In the email, I included pictures showing the fine line crack without any other noticeable cracks, chips or trauma. I would not be upset except that the plate was used less than 5 times and specifically states it is microwave safe. The owner did not stand behind her own products stating that there is no warranty on the plates and practically blew off my concern. She also kept indicating there most have been a chip or crack for that to occur, however, the pictures show otherwise. Obviously there had to be an internal defect in the plate for it to break so quickly. I understand if I had the plate for years but we used it for less than a couple weeks. Several other plates have already lost the textured pattern. I didn't complain about those plates as they are still functional (although disappointing as it doesn't maintain the look of the original plate you are buying). The quality of the dishware is very low quality. I am worried about using any of the plates now in the microwave or oven as obviously they are NOT microwave and oven-safe as the company proclaims. I would be very wary to buy anything from this company. I have never dealt with an owner that was so unwilling to stand behind the integrity of her product. That is a huge red flag. If I could return all the plates I would. My china is more durable than these plates.
