Rhodes Hinman Craft + Design is a custom furniture design and fabrication studio in Austin, Texas. Our goal is to create pieces that not only serve a function, but become vibrant and contributing members of a home. Furniture is something many people use everyday, but often goes unnoticed. We focus on the details of a piece, be it little bits of accent color or carved texture, as a way to bring joy into those small moments of daily use and interaction. It is a special and much appreciated opportunity to be able to create objects that will not just cycle in and out with the seasons, but will last long enough to be passed down to future generations. It is important that high quality work comes from high quality materials. We use all FSC certified domestic woods, natural oil finishes, and natural dyes and paints in our furniture. These choices reflect our commitment not only to the quality of the work, but also to sustaining the quality of life in our environment. We are equally happy to work directly with private clients, designers, or architects. Whether you are ordering a small production run, or commissioning a piece for the first time, we can meet you where you are.
