Sean Munsell

I am a painter and colorist . My work is mostly expressionist in form and incorporates elements of the Impressionist movement. I am largely influenced by the great American painter Wolf Kahn and his principles of color and brushstroke. With every painting I strive to draw out the highest chroma and inherent color bias of an individual oil color. My palette consists of over 100 single pigment colors/tubes and by utilizing only the highest quality oil paints and respecting the inherent properties of individual colors in addition to archival canvas preparation I can assure my clients their work will stand the test of time. In order to achieve well executed pieces I am less prolific than other artists and only complete a handful of paintings every year.
