James and his team are timely, quick, responsive to changes, and better than competitively priced. James was able to revamp ideas when budget constraints appeared, and helped to make our project feel like no expense was spared. There isn't a single space in our addition/remodel of our mid-century styled home that isn't more functional and beautiful, while still maintaining strong roots to our home's original 1960s era personality. James and his team were able to lay the foundation of a gallery-centric living space into a lovely open concept, while maintaining privacy and outside views. We would recommend James, highly, to anyone looking. Many of our neighbors watch daily progress and ask for his contact info. As scary as this process has been for a me, I feel that James put us on a trail of success which I'll be forever grateful.

I have done many projects with James L. Carroll & Associates which have included everything from custom home designs and extensive remodels to retail shop build outs. During the course of these projects I have found James to be an extremely talented and creative architect who really listens to his client and has an uncanny ability to bring vague ideas to fruition. James Carroll designed my husband and I a contemporary home which we built during 2006 to 2007. James and his staff were great to work with because they are extremely experienced, creative, professional and helped us design the dream home we had been excited for. When we met at the property for the first time and walked onto the lot, James was so excited. This was great because quite frankly, I was having a hard time visualizing what could possibly work and had absolutely nothing to offer. I had communicated the want for certain things and spaces however once the home began to take shape, I could finally see what all the excitment was about when nearly every room was framed with a spectacular view. That is what makes an good architect, great. I enjoyed living everyday in what James had envisioned for us. What a treat to build and live in a home you absolutely love. Working with James through every step of the process was a great experience and I would highly recommend him for any style home from traditional to contemporary. Melissa Evans
