I bought a house from Mr. Abbas Abazari, Five-A Remodeling Group, LLC, and I’d like to share some of my experiences so far if you ever buy from this LLC or another one that he starts.
I bought this remodeling home under the guise of the home being “ALL NEW!” and that all work was inspected by the City of Dallas. Please learn from me that you cannot rely on this, and the City of Dallas will incur no liability for any mistakes they have missed.
Here is a list of some (not all) of the issues that happened in less than 6 months:
1)Improperly installed drain tub causing a leak and estimated damages of $18k~. This would have been nearly impossible for a regular home inspector or city inspector to catch without ripping open the walls and/or filling the bathtub and letting it drain out several times.
2)Other Plumbing Costs associated with this issue in the amount of roughly $1k.
3)Drying Mitigation Services associated with this issue in the amount of roughly $2k.
4) When remodeling the home, their framers put in a recessed ceiling and cut trusses (engineering 101 no no). They were neither compliant with Texas Minimum Construction Standards nor IBC Section 2303.4.5. Quotes have ranged from $20k-$40k for this.
