Founded in 1969, when Nick Haag and Duane Slater purchased an existing business, Garretson Lumber has been the stable lumber and hardware store for over 40 years. They carry a wide selection of tool, plumbing, paint and supplies, siding, shingles, doors and windows. With great name brands, like Valspar and Bertch, and advice with the experience to back it, Garretson Lumber will help you get the job done right. In 1983 we expanded our services to start Truss/Slater, a facility spanning 12 acres, to provide quality engineering components to lumber retailers through out Illinois and several surrounding states. Truss/Slater manufactures trusses, panelized wall systems, wood-web floor trusses, I-Joists, LVL beams and much more. With over 100 years of combined experience you can have confidence that your order will be built to last. Did you know? Garretson Lumber offers several services, including tool rental, free local delivery and key cutting. In 2014, in response to increased customer demand and in a better effort to serve both new and existing customers, we opened a new window and door showroom in Springfield, IL. Truss/Slater Window & Door is located a 4117 West Wabash.
