Candlelight Cabinetry

Unfortunately this company mislead us and our local building supply company with time frames and were not honest about what was going on. We wanted to support local but that didn't work out for us. We now have to switch companies as this has already delayed our build by several weeks and they can't even give us an accurate ETA. We have been more than patient but integrity goes along way and this company seems to have lost theirs. I'm disappointed as I know people who purchased these cabinets in previous years and had nothing but great things to say. We and our local building supply are now scrambling. Truly disappointing.

I was very excited to get custom made cabinets with features I could not get elsewhere. In December 2024, the dealer I’m working with encouraged me to quickly get my order in before the end of the year to insure a lower price. We were told the cabinets would be delivered in 8 to 10 weeks. In February we were told the cabinets would be delayed because the doors were warped and due to their high standards they would need to be remade. Finally at the end of April the cabinets were shipped. Unfortunately, things came in piecemeal. No notice was given of when certain things would arrive like the stove hood. The trim came, but it was the wrong size. The bathroom cabinet needed to be reordered because it was a wrong measurement. It was rush ordered, but it still has not arrived after 3 months. When the dealer calls his phone calls are ignored and if he gets through they have been saying for 2 months the order is ready. Just have one piece of trim we still need to add then it’ll ship out. Extremely frustrated! I would love to get our kitchen completed and move on.

We ordered a full kitchen remodel cabinetry. I would not use them again. A large pantry cabinet arrived broken due to their shipping method. It held up our remodel as it was a corner cabinet. End cabinets arrived without the finished panel on 2 cabinets. They eventually sent end panel for us to apply. We are having trouble getting them to adhere. After 3 years, many doors started to warp and would close fully. Our house is climate controlled year round. They didin't want to replace some of the doors. The mixer stand the provided broke and no one wanted to take responsibility for it. We are not happy with the quality of the cabinets or the customer service.

So sorry about the finish I chose. It’s not even a year after installation and they are pitting. There are nubs which haven’t started pitting yet but I’m sure they will in the future. This is from residue on the wood and painted over. Candlelight says it’s from cleaning. I almost never clean them! Wouldn’t do again!

Never again will I purchase anything from Candlelight Cabinetry. I bought two bathroom vanities. I paid a fortune for them, expecting quality materials and craftsmanship. I could not be more disappointed. They are made of crappy particle board. And they are surfaced with cheap plastic-like veneer. If I'd wanted junk, I would have paid 1/10th the price for junk cabinets at a big box hardware store.

As a retired kitchen & bath designer that worked with Candlelight Cabinetry for 25 years, I'm totally surprised by some of the comments that are being made about the quality of this product. The quality of their cabinets far surpassed other lines that were far more expensive. It is most unfortunate to hear that something has gone terribly wrong with their quality control . Is it the new ownership? Very sad!

They clearly had issues with their finishing on their black cabinets. I received first set and ALL black cabinets were spider cracked throughout the entire finish and had to be replaced in full which threw my job off by 6 weeks. The second full set came in with the black finish smudged/damaged. I would never buy from Candlelight Cabinets ever again.

We like most of our cabinets, but it appears that quality control is going seriously downhill. We have ordered our laundry cabinet doors five times (and counting), each time with a lengthy re-order delay. The issues, as far as I can remember but you will get the gist: 1) wrong doors; 2) wrong hinges and drilled holes; 3) wrong drilled holes and partial delivery of correct hinges; 4) doors cracked in transit; and just today: 5) doors only painted on one side. So we are on order # 6 - with no apology, compensation, expedited ordering, or priority supervision for this much delayed and poorly executed order. If this is the direction of the company, I would strongly suggest Buyer Beware.

We have been specking CL cabinets for remodels and builder jobs for many years now. We are VERY happy with the products we have, and our clients love them too. We love that it is also a local company to upstate NY, they're active in the green energy community and value customer service even after the project is completed.

I purchased Candlelight cabinets in 2015 and they are beautiful. They are well made and still beautiful!so glad I chose them!

We were recommended candlelight cabinetry in by our kitchen designer for our remodel last year. We bitterly regret the decision to purchase from this company. The kitchen was 2 weeks late. Immediately after install we noticed many of the cabinet doors were splitting at the seams. We had some of the replaced under warranty (took forever) and then the same thing happened again to those and then some others that hadn't had problems before. I believe overall there were 13 cabinet doors that have issues. Our designer and the Candlelight rep came out and we were promised new doors in February. We are still waiting 4 months later. Candlelight, if you are reading this you really need to make good on your promise to replace these doors. This kitchen was too expensive to have doors that are cracking and flaking.

We did a complete kitchen remodel and after reading great reviews of Candlelight Cabinetry, decided to go with this brand. We went through our dealer for the kitchen design, and went with painted wood cabinets. Upon delivery, my contractor and I noticed problems with the finish on many of the cabinets. There were areas that were not finished well. The cabinet doors had rub marks on them in various places. Some of the cabinet doors looked like the finish was not put on evenly, and some had light scratch marks on them. Because we were facing time constraints, the cabinets were installed, and my contractor told me to call our dealer to report the issues. We had also ordered some different pieces of molding to finish the look of our kitchen. The molding was delivered with a poor finish and multiple scratches as well. Our dealer came out and we showed him what we were dealing with, and he agreed there was an issue, and contacted a representative who was sent out. We showed them the problem areas, on the cabinets and molding. They took some of the worst of the cabinet doors (not all of them) to refinish. They sent out more molding, which looked better than the first shipment we received, but they still had some problems. The refinished cabinet doors did look better after being refinished, however, we still notice that the finish on these cabinets does not last long.They scratch easily and we are very careful in our kitchen. Honestly, we are almost too afraid to use our kitchen because the finish on these cabinets are so fragile. After spending thousands of dollars, we felt they should have at the very least, refinished all of the cabinet doors, not just some of them, but our representative told us that would not be possible. We have only been in our kitchen but a few months, and though the refinished ones are holding up a little better than the ones they did not refinish, they still scratch easily. I've waited years to redo my kitchen, only to be disappointed with it. Personally, I would not recommend this line. Though they are constructed well, I feel that the painted factory finish could be better.
