About Us
As a means of introduction, owner Michael Maillette apprenticed cabinet making under his father, Ted Maillette, who established Northfield Cabinet Shop in 1948 in Northfield, Illinois, a northern suburb of Chicago. Northfield Cabinet Shop built custom cabinetry for over 30 years in the Chicago North Shore and downtown Chicago areas before making a transition to Conover, WI in 1981. Michael became owner of the business in 1989 and has had the distinct pleasure of working with Daniel Benson Builders in Land O' Lakes, WI for the past 20 years. A number of Daniel's homes have been featured in multiple issues of Log Home Living, Log Home Illustrated, and Log Home Design Ideas in which our cabinetry was also highlighted.
