Chriss Whipple Hardy began her art career at an early age, and studied on scholarship at the prestigious Art Institute of Ft. Lauderdale and NYU. After giving birth to twin boys, Chriss left her career in commercial graphic design to pursue her passion of fine art. Since moving to Tennessee, Chriss has shown work at numerous galleries (Bennett, Hanson, Local Color, etc). Today Chriss is using her talents to design custom color schemes and finishes, as well as continuing to paint on canvas. Christopher Hardy began studying art under Chriss while still in grade school. Christopher attended the University of Tennessee on full academic scholarship and studied at the Universite’ Charles de Gaulle in Lille, France. While on break from his studies, Christopher helped Chriss start “The Painted Room”. Together, they have continued to offer high quality finishes and artwork to businesses and homes across the state.
